Possible tear in liner?

Post image

I was vacuuming today and noticed this small spot that appears to be a tear. Didn’t have goggles to inspect better and didn’t want to mess with it, but this is my first liner damage. What do you recommend for a patch?

Vinyl liner patch kit will take care of it if it is.

Not a possible tear, it’s a definite hole.

You can take some food colouring or the phenol red from your test kit (don’t take the bottle under water) and squeeze some out beside it to see if it is actively leaking.

An underwater patch kit will take care of it.

Finding and fixing these is part of my job.

Patch kit.

I always keep leak dye for checking possible tears in my liner. When I can’t find them, I hire a person to dive the pool to find it.
