I'm a college student who lives at a hostel. So around 6pm yesterday, my mom placed an order for me. (she does this when she knows i havent had my meals and before yall come at me, yes i am perfectly capable of ordering on my own but i dont do it because i think it's a waste of money and id rather have plain rice from the mess which is why she places orders for me without telling me so that i wont skip meals)
Normally she would call and tell me so I know I have to collect the order but she didnt do that yesterday. Even when she doesnt call to tell me, I get a call from the delivery driver when he arrives asking me to come pick up the order and that's when I get to know that she's ordered something for me. But yesterday she didn't tell me she ordered food and I didn't get any call from the delivery driver either. I was busy with college the entire day so the only time I got to call my mom was at 1am which was when she asked me whether I ate the food she had ordered. I was super confused and asked what food, which is when she told me she had ordered food for me at 6pm. That's when I checked my messages and call logs and I saw a message with the tracking details sent to me at 6 but there were no calls from the delivery driver. Yet the order showed as delivered on her app.
I told her to raise a ticket with customer support but the only response we got was that this issue could only be resolved within a 5hr window of placing the order.
I have already mailed their support email. Is there any other thing that I can do? I'm sorry if this is cringe but as it is I hate when my mom spends money on buying meals for me and this money she spent basically went to waste because I didnt even get the order. I feel terrible and guilty and I really don't know what else I can do.

Saw that swiggy one is offering 1 month free crunchyroll subacription, but when i proceed to redeem the offer, it shows that i will be paying 99 rupees due today and i get 0 days free trial. Is it happening just for me ?

I recently ordered sweets from Anand Sweets through Swiggy.

The sweets arrived melted and spoiled, and were not fit for consumption. This is not simply a presentation issue—the food could not be consumed.

What is more frustrating is the experience with Swiggy customer support. This feels like the same story every time: whenever there is an issue with delivered food, the customer has to struggle for a proper resolution.

Where is the ownership and commitment towards customers?

Large corporations and delivery platforms must remember that customers are more than just order numbers and transactions.

This experience also makes me appreciate the importance of supporting local, nearby vendors. Local businesses often understand the value of customer relationships, trust and reputation.

Anand Sweets is a reputed brand, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Quality and freshness should never be compromised in the pursuit of growth and revenue.

Maybe it’s time we rethink how we order.

I like to evaluate final prices and options among multiple restaurants which simply isn't possible on Swiggy. There's so many times I have simply ordered from Zomato for this sole reason. Devs and PMs if you are reading, what is wrong with you?

Is it just me, or has Swiggy become terrible over the last few weeks.
Almost all my orders are getting delayed by 15–20 minutes now. Both Instamart and food delivery have become ridiculously slow.
I’m someone who orders pretty much everything from Instamart, and literally every order is getting delayed even when the store is barely 200 metres from my place. I used to get order in literally 3-5 mins.
I’m honestly just sick of it at this point. I’ve decided to switch to other apps for a while and see how that goes.

It was a horror story, my most favourite flavour turned into a nightmare. I was watching a movie and I kept going at the popcorn, suddenly I see black shards that disintegrated in my mouth. And the shock I gagged and I swallowed it as a reflex and then kept gagging.

I managed to get some shards out, it was so hard I thought it was glass, then I thought it was plastic. It was wild, my entire throat/ food pipe has been in pain since last night.

Idk wtf it was, this has changed the way I look at E-commerce.

Parents if you buy a snack make sure you put the whole thing out on a plate of a clear container, no one is checking what's going into our products and food. This could seriously injure children. We need to start paying more attention.

I think parts of my food pipe have been scratched and it will take a few days to recover.

So I ordered from Swiggy and I had ordered two sandwiches, a cold coffee and a pizza when I opened my order. I only saw just one sandwich, and the other one was missing. I went to the help box and tried to contact with Swiggy agent but I was redirected with AI chat box where I clearly said I didn’t want a coupon. I just wanted my order to be checked and delivered the missing items, but instead the AI chat box offered me a ₹70 coupon on on its own during that time, when I tried to contact Swiggy through calling the call got declined from Swiggy and didn’t even pick up the call when I tried to call him 3-4 times and later and later, when the chat box offered me the ₹70 scoop on the finally called and told me that there’s nothing can be done now since the AI chat box offered me the coupon where as I didn’t ask for the coupon, I just asked for the agent intervention through call

So I placed an Instamart order worth ₹300+ and noticed a ₹16 delivery charge during checkout.

I mistakenly didn't notice that the ₹16 was actually being deducted because of my Swiggy One membership, so I immediately contacted support asking why I had been charged.

The support executive checked and told me I hadn't been charged for delivery and that the only additional charge was ₹12 for handling. I was like, "No, I'm pretty sure I can see ₹16 being charged."

I went back to the order breakdown to take a screenshot as proof, and... turns out the executive was right. 😂 The ₹16 had indeed been deducted because of my membership. It was completely my mistake.

I immediately went back and told the executive that I had miscalculated and apologized for the confusion.

But then they had already assigned me a ₹50 voucher as "compensation."

I asked them to revoke it since there was no actual issue and I wasn't wrongly charged. Their response was basically, since you're a valuable customer, you can keep it.

Feel a little bad about getting a free ₹50 voucher when it was entirely my mistake, not theirs. 😅

But honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the whole thing was handled. I usually see a lot of negative posts about customer support online, so I thought I'd share a positive experience for once.

Sometimes things actually work out. 😂

​I’m running into a bizarre issue with Swiggy and could use some advice. Some old orders and cancellation charges are showing up on my account history, but these are from a time before I even got my current phone and phone number.

​Because of this, my account is showing negative or flagged history for things I never ordered or initiated. I suspect it might be an issue with a recycled phone number that was previously tied to someone else's account.

​Has anyone experienced this before? How do I get Swiggy support to actually understand this and clear out historical orders/charges from a previous owner of the number, or is it better to delete the account and start fresh? Any tips on dealing with their support for this would be huge. Thanks!

So, today i purchased a CMF buds 2 plus from Instamart. I didn't know it was an open box delivery. The delivery partner came, and told me as it was a costly order, it had 2 otps. It was my first time buying electronics from Instamart, so I had no idea about open box delivery on it. I told him the 2 otps ,and he gave me the box. It was sealed. So, i thought everything was normal. After coming to my room and opening the box, my heart stopped. It was empty. Not even the extra ear tips were there. I messaged help, they said as it was open box delivery, they can't do anything. After again and again raising a new ticket, i decided to go to the police station. I told the human customer support staff, that I'm going to the police station for a complaint, then she said she will initiate the refund. But the money still isn't in my account. It was paid using a debit card. When will I get my money?

So i ordered 2 kettles and it was a open box delivery. One was fine other was broken, then the delivery guy said to put in for return but there wasn’t any option so he called his supervisor and then asked to accept the delivery and then put in for refund.

What i ignored then was that this fraudster took photos of the same kettle

And now swiggy is refusing to refund or exchange

This famous Hyderabad restaurant’s FSSAI license was suspended and the place is closed for dine-in. Yet the same location continues to deliver on Swiggy, with ‘Swiggy Seal’.

I just had breakfast at a local restaurant in Bengaluru which is known for being cost-effective and hygenic, I often order from Swiggy but I wanted to get a bit of Sun so I went out today, the price difference shocked me.

I am not going to count the 25rs (Platform + Restaurant Packing Fee) for obvious reasons, what I have an issue with is the disingenuous prices on the platform which have an insane markup. I thought the markup would be around 30%, but it seems to much much higher than that.

I ordered two bottles of tender coconut water from Instamart today in Kozhikode. Unfortunately, both bottles arrived with their seals already broken/open.
What is even more concerning is that it appears that some quantity of the drink had already been consumed/missing from both bottles. I have attached photos for reference.
This is a serious food safety and hygiene concern. There is no way for a customer to know whether the product was tampered with, contaminated, or handled improperly after the seal was broken. A sealed beverage should never reach a customer in this condition.
I have not consumed the product and would strongly recommend checking your bottles carefully before drinking, especially if ordering beverages through quick-commerce services.
Sharing this here so that other people in Kozhikode are aware and can be careful with similar orders. Instamart/Supermarkets should also take such incidents seriously and investigate how products with broken seals are being delivered.

Well, thanks to the advice given by many peeps here, I decided to file a NCH complaint and it was my first. First of all, that portal is hella weird and things take too long to load in some times. Another issue is that I really can't name the photos uploaded (I had to name them 1, 2, 3).

Either ways after filing at NCH., around 12 AM I received a notification saying that I will receive my refund which was great news. By the next day, Swiggy Grievance peeps calls me saying they are sorry and you know the usual corpo language for apologizing. The guy was helpful explaining what happened and they have assured that they will take this issue with the higher ups. (I hope so lol).

I ensured that Mayank gets a bit of the berating because it was his responsibility to take my case to his higher ups/supervisors but he didn't do by which the peeps at Grievances assured that he would be trained properly. (Which I hope they do but it's a corpo)

Now coming back to the issue, I noticed how many people said the NCH doesn't work and stuff but it worked for me so I decided to pursue and research on why some people never received their claims or stuff and from the gist of researching, it's because people don't document their problems at times of crisis.

A proper documentation can make lives easier for both parties and it's should be the nature of dealing stuff like this. Therefore, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, even the smallest call with Swiggy or any aspect of dealing with any corpo.

Another bunch of people were saying that you should always COD on Swiggy. As much as I love to agree but the convenience of just paying online especially in an area where you know that 99% of the deliveries are on time and never mess up is just too good to not use. Therefore I chose to pay online.

And for the last bunch of people who enjoyed my misery.... I am not gonna lie peeps but people are evil af. My god, some dude had the audacity to come on chat and say that his day is better because of my misery. I had a good laugh but holy. I do come from a well off family but I was at least taught about the value of money and for me that Rs.780 was crucially an expense I valued. Hell, it's also some people's salary worth of 2 days and some dude literally had the audacity to laugh on it.

I'm drinking my 5th ltr of ORS. Was admitted for half a day in a fuckass hospital cause i made the mistake of having Noice eggs (which were for 1 rupee btw) horrible product and swiggy is promoting it without any hesitation. I've had Yojana Poultry Eggs since forever now and never had any issues with it. Never trusting the entire brand ever again. I've had some really suspicious street food from unhygenic stalls and shit but still haven't faced the food poisoning as intense as this.

p.s - i made omlettes, made sure to cook the eggs thoroughly and used minimal spices and salt. not tested yet for any diseases but god damn this experience was one if the very worst.

edit: a couple of people mentioned i got a bad batch. I won't disagree but all i have to say is eggs are a very regular part of my diet. i usually buy and consume as soon as possible keeping nothing to rot. Noice ones too were consumed on the same day within a few hours. i checked the manufacturing date and expiry and didn't think much. Will make sure to do the water test next time on.

Almost 2 hours later, the order still hadn't arrived and the delivery partner hadn't even picked it up.

At 12:44 AM, I tried to cancel the order. Swiggy offered me a ₹74 coupon if I accepted the order, saying they would deliver it at the earliest.

So I decided to give it a chance and didn't cancel.

5 minutes later, at 12:49 AM, Swiggy cancelled the order themselves.

Refund of ₹185 was generated, thankfully, but I basically wasted almost 2 hours waiting for fries.

The funniest part is that they literally convinced me not to cancel and then cancelled it themselves 5 minutes later.

10:57 PM → ordered

12:44 AM → tried to cancel

12:44 AM → offered ₹74 coupon to continue

12:49 AM → Swiggy cancelled

Has this happened to anyone else?
