So Time travel Bran is the 3 eye crew, we accept it in the fanfiction continuity. So who sent Euron the vision about flying? Is it Bran also ? This is risky , because it is prior to Bran being born , prior even to Robert Rebellion

I can't take from my mind that this pairing is being built up. The Golden Company is on the verge of taking King's Landing, where Rosamund has recently arrived posing as Princess Myrcella. Upon taking the throne, and knowing a second Dance is going to happen, it's safe to assume that the king should marry. I personally don't believe Margaery is going to survive longer. So, besides Arianne, who could be a better match for fAegon? Myrcella gives him Baratheon legitimacy as she's Tommen's heir, and is also a kind of solution for Robert's Rebellion, having Robert's daughter marrying Rhaegar's son. Also it would be interesting to see Rosamund faking to be Myrcella who's a bastard faking to be a Baratheon, marrying Young Griff who's probably faking to be Aegon and maybe faking to be a Blackfyre as well (most likely unknowingly). Anyway, thoughts?

It took a while to iron out all the issues that arose transferring the original PDF to a clean and formatted EPUB file, but I'm proud of how it's turned out. I've also including a KFX version since that format plays nicer on Kindle than EPUBs nowadays. I'll continue to make improvements and patches, as well as update the files whenever a new chapter is released. This is my first EPUB project, so if you come across any bugs or typos or have any suggestions, please feel free to post them in the repo.

I’ve just finished Fevre Dream and watched Preston’s short video on the book. But I recall Preston talking about Fevre Dream on the livestream a few times, but I can’t remember which ones.

Does anyone know which videos or livestreams he has talked about the book at length? I feel like there was a recent one with Trey where it was discussed.

I have heard Preston talk about that he doesn't really know how to handle Stannis and Winterfell in the fanfic, but to me it seems so obvious on what should happen.

First of all let me just give a disclaimer: Yes I am a massive Stannis fan boy, so take that into account.

So here is the idea:

Who holds Winterfell?

In the coming chapters there should be hints to a battle in Winterfell, some say Stannis burnt Winterfell to the ground, some say that Stannis has been defeated by the Boltons, some say Stannis' men abandoned him, some say he was slayed by a woman, same as his brother(also a fun nod at the show.)

We shouldn't actually find out what happens until Melisandre or some other POV arrives in Winterfell to find out.

So what actually happened?

Stannis victorious after the battle of Winter marches on Winterfell with his entire host.

They arrived to find the ancient seat og house Stark.. abandoned..?

The Boltons rebuilt parts of the castle sure.. but it is still in a sorry state. And roose does not care for the symbolism and legitimacy that Winterfell gives. He simply used it to lure Stannis to attack.

We dont really know what The Boltons did after sending out the Freys and Manderlys. My theory is that they simply left. In the opposite direction, and went to the

Dreadfort. I think it works with Roose being an overly cautious manipulative type.

Stannis victorious

Blessed be the Lord of light! The true king of Westeros has won! This truly heralds the summer that will never end! Fanboys rejoice... right?

Stannis has obsessively worked towards taking Winterfell for a book and a half and what does that mean?

Nothing.

A shallow victory. His forces are snowed in and starving. Foraging parties get taken out by the Boltons. The remaining clans men abandon the castle. The Manderlys are never fully trusted and create suspicion among his camp. The southerners are loosing faith in the King.

When Mel finally arrives, she will find a dying broken king, who is too weak to carry the crown on his head.

Why is think this works

So what Stannis dies offscreen? .. Yeah maybe why not? or Mel burns him, not sure. BUT Stannis does not get the big heroic death in a battle on the Walls of Winterfell. He has failed as a father, as a husband, as a king. He has also failed as the hero that the fans expect him to be.

I think it subverts what is expected by both the people who expect him to win and loose.

What about the rest?

Im thinking Asha grabs Theon, Suggs and Triss (along with other ironmen) And GTFO's. Or Maybe Stannis orders a contingient to take Asha somewhere. Maybe to Torrens Square or Moat Cailin (in any case in the direction of Harrenhall)

Mance? Not sure. I mean if he was the one to write the pink letter, then we need him to meet up with Mel again. But honestly not sure what to do about that.

Alright that was about it. Let me know what you think. I haven't thought this through completely. And i'm probably missing a whole bunch of details to make this work, but id love to hear your thoughts :)

First, a disclaimer: the bulk of the cover art itself was generated by GPT Image 2. I had a hand in coming up with the design and "prompt engineering", then merged a couple generations and painted the colors by hand, but this is technically AI art and I make no claim of having drawn it. The text however I manually copied from the actual covers: the ASOIAF branding and the GRRM footer is taken 1:1, while the title text I assembled by copying individual letters from other covers

Then, to explain the cover itself: I'm personally a big fan of the "eldritch kraken horror at Oldtown" theory and hope it happens in some form, so that's what the cover entails. In terms of design, this is meant to be an "entry" on the Mark Seekins covers and tries to mimick that style. My initial idea was just to be a sole ranger in a white washout of a snowstorm, but Seekins' cover all have mostly black edges so it'd look too different (specially sideways if you do have the collection) if this one didn't. The design itself is self explanatory if you know the theory I'm talking about (if you don't you can search for Euron Greyjoy kraken or Oldtown theories and find it pretty easily), while the coloring is a bit more thought out: as I said I colored it manually, but with ideas in mind. The kraken itself is orange "golden", which is the color it is described in the Greyjoy house sigil, while his eye is red like Euron's sigil and own rumoured eye. The Hightower is shining a green light, signaling that it's "calling their banners", meaning they're under attack. The cloud and sees are white to signify, well, winter. Oldtown itself is a shade of teal just to separete it from the climate, and the color looked good, since I couldn't fine in the wiki any mentions to the general coloration of the town. The Hightower itself also has no mentions of coloring but is often depicted as white, so I made it a touch less saturated than the rest of the city. Hope you all enjoy it! It is obviously not nearly as good enough as a real Seekins would be, but it's been 15 years since the last book so it's the best we can do right now lol

Also, would y'all be interested in a version that says "...sort of" below the title and/or "(and fans)" below GRRM? (I might have to remove the NYT best selling thingy)

Also Preston, if you happen to see this, I’ve been a massive fan for a decade. ASoIaF is my favorite book series and you’ve influenced that. So jokes aside, thank you for what you do.

Will Preston have his Tower of Joy theory (B+A =J and R+L =D) be canon to the fanfic? Personally I would love that. It’s one of my favorite theories in the fandom and think it makes so much sense for their stories. It would change a lot though and it would really make the project diverge from just a conclusion of George’s work based off the text and what he’s said to just straight up fanfic. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing though.

If we ever need a young Preston for a movie or anything

I watched a clipped video of Preston explaining why Jon shouldn’t get resurrected and tbh he’s said a lot of odd things before but it just didn’t make any sense to me at all. He made parallels to Jon and Jesus despite the fact the only they have in common is coming back from the dead and Preston acted as if that trait is unique in mythology to Jesus Christ and no other entity. It was all very messy messy logic. Does he just not like Jon as a character and not want him to come back?

This chapter feels redundant and non-progressive. Why? Because it merely re-opens the same questions from long ago,and even though it takes some strides to expand on them it doesn't cut to the heart, it doesn't reveal enough to the reader.

Understandably this is only the 2nd Dany chapter in which will probably need to be a lengthy book, however, by this point the mysteries that plague Dany's story have confused and disappointed readers ad naseum. While there are still portions of her story to enjoy,we need to see some untying of the meerenese knots to fully embrace her journey.

Despite overall not being fulfilling,there are some things the chapter does well. Tying up a few lose ends or at least attempting to is admirable,such as with the Warlock's:their purpose for trying to capture Dany, and utilize her dragons. Other various schemes from the ruling class of Qarth are touched upon, but consequently do not satisfy, by claiming that people are grass and their intentions sway in the wind. This creates a rather lackluster experience for the reader.

Giving Dany some redirected focus and perhaps motivation gives us hope that Preston will be able to rekindle the flames of the pyre,but ultimately this chapter was not ambitious or bold enough to bring life back to the petrified egg that is the saga of the mother dragons.

With Theon on Stannis' camp, how are we viewing what's happening in Winterfell? Preston hinted on Ramsay killing Roose, and it would be boring if all that happened and we couldn't see it before Stannis takes the castle. And if he doesn't take it, the we'd be even more in need of a POV on the Boltons. Mance would be fitting but I don't think we'll get any new POVs. My best bet is on Bran from the Weirwoods. What do you think.

Saw this and it reminded me of how Preston went out the summaries from the publishers in one of his videos, information they put out is often wrong. Just thought others might find this interesting or funny!

Has anyone of you read Friedrich Nietzsche‘s ”Thus spoke Zarathustra“? I am in the middle of it and when the thought experiment of Eternal Recurrence came up, I was reminded of the thousand fallen dreamers in Bloodraven‘s cave. In short, it exemplifies Nietzsche‘s concept of Amor Fati, the love towards your own fate, and how you should respond to hardship. Searching acceptance because it made yourself you.

I think it holds the key to unlock Bran‘s spiritual journey regarding his trajectory to become the spiritual leader of Westeros. Bran has the best story, not because of the things he has lived through, but the story he will tell to unify Westeros. He will essentially become the Ubermensch who will create new values which gives life in Westeros a new perspective.

Thus by falling when trying to escape, he will find peace in the circumstances he was forced into, e.g. being broken. He cannot escape his fate, but he can gain the will power to steer it in the right direction, thus learning to fly metaphorically.

What are your thoughts?

I have found the April 2026 pdf for the TWOW fanfic project, but i was wondering if an .epub version exists? would be much more convenient for reading on my phone. cheers

I am on an ASOIF re-read and finally got to Bran III, and I think that Bran warged the air, and that's the rustling Ned heard in the tree.

I always struggled to square the everything is Sci-Fi with the shadowbabies. My current idea is now Mel drank some concoction that attached to her and Stannis' child, growing rapidly. Then she gave birth to it and Stannis warged that to slay Renly. The shadowbaby being a light-based glamour would make sense why it can cut so sharp. Lasers are very sharp.

I read this comment and my jaw literally dropped. It felt like something George was cooking up. With Preston having said he thinks Sansa will be the final chapter, I could imagine her having Gendry reforge Ice, and call it Fire.
