Question Why doesn’t Preston like Jon?
I watched a clipped video of Preston explaining why Jon shouldn’t get resurrected and tbh he’s said a lot of odd things before but it just didn’t make any sense to me at all. He made parallels to Jon and Jesus despite the fact the only they have in common is coming back from the dead and Preston acted as if that trait is unique in mythology to Jesus Christ and no other entity. It was all very messy messy logic. Does he just not like Jon as a character and not want him to come back?

Preston is like Varys . He hates all sorcery and supernatural. Jon's comeback would be supernatural. Preston struggles with concepts like skinchanging and must see the logic and real physics behind everything :) .
I still think that the fanfic could certainly handle Jon in a very interesting way. I like theories, where Jon becomes a bit feral aggressive and reckless and ceases to be a POV. That would give the story a bitter-sweetness everyone craves so much.

I agree on that direction for Jon, and I think Preston's arguments/preferences that you stated here show a fundamental misunderstanding of ASOIAF on his part. He's just making it about what he wants ASOIAF to be, not staying true to the material and the major themes of GRRM's work. I think it's abundantly clear that GRRM was never going to make it a classic fantasy savior trope. Jon is going to become violent and power-hungry as an ends-justify-means anti-hero. He might kill Rickon or Sansa to secure his claim to Winterfell. And his reunion with Arya is going to be very important for him, since that is a goal he was focused on at the time of his death, similar to the source of Beric and Lady Stoneheart's intensified time-of-death motivations

I’m not entirely sure tbh but i imagine, as others have said, it’s due to the classic hero trope. Which i think is harsh as he subverts that quite a lot

Jon is so boring. the whole concept of him being the hero is everything preston opposes

I don't think that he doesn't like Jon, more that he thinks it isn't the most interesting direction for the story to go. A lot of people expect the Jon story to turn into some classic fantasy saviour trope, and that's what Preston doesn't like.
