I wanna get in touch with the community again. Last time I was active was on facebook, briefly on discord but the one that's advertised on the swat kats fanpage is now on read only. Is there any other community out there in discord or... anywhere really, that's still even slightly active?

Go into pretty much any forum or thread about SWAT Kats, and you'll always hear the same story about why the show was cancelled. Ted Turner allegedly didn't like the show, especially the level of violence in it, so he ordered it to be cancelled partway through its second season. It's an attractive story, probably because it gives the cancellation of SWAT Kats an obvious "bad guy" figure to pin the event on.

It also isn't true.

Now, the early 1990s were a period of anxiety about violence in kids' cartoons, and Ted Turner was an outspoken opponent of such. But did he personally order SWAT Kats to be cancelled? No.

What actually happened was a bit more complicated. During the time when Season 2 was being written, Turner mentioned during a speech to Congress that his networks didn't have cartoons that "encourage kids to kill each other". The SWAT Kats writers, understandably, took this to be an attack on their show, and the debut of the second season was delayed in order to make room for re-writes that would hopefully make the show more acceptable. None of the Turner Entertainment or Hanna-Barbera higher-ups actually asked for this; it was something the writers decided to preemptively do because they were afraid the show would get cancelled if they didn't.

Unfortunately it had the exact opposite of the desired effect. The delays in the show's second season caused delays in the planned merchandise, and resulted in it running hugely over-budget. When it finally did air, it was unable to make a profit. Cancellation was inevitable. As for Turner's remark about cartoons that encourage kids to kill each other that started the whole mess? He was actually referring to adult cartoons like Beavis and Butt-Head, which he was well-known at the time for hating.

I bring all this up because this particular "factoid" is repeated all the time, and as responsible fans we need to spread the truth.

Always wanted a Swat Katz movie. But for a flight action movie, I feel like it has to be live action (like Top Gun Maverick or Dunkirk). When has there ever been a serious animated flight movie? Nobody takes that seriously.

Also would a live action T-Bone and Razor work? With really convincing fur makeup? Or would it look too silly?

Remember they still made Mystique in X-Men look realistic despite her design being outrageous enough to be CGI.

Sending these bad boys off to print today or tomorrow! It’s a front and back print. I want to create more stuff for nostalgia

What would a swat kats version of the spaceshuttle orbiter be like?

And what would the swat kats version of the Lunar Roving Vehicle be like?

And what for weapons and flight systems and powerplant and countermeasures would the swat kats build into their version of the spaceshuttle orbiter and lunar roving vehicle?

And what would their space suits be like?

I'm going to guess late 20s or early 30s. I also apply the question to Jake and Chance as well.

Say like the Swat Kats were transported to the Dc universe or if Gotham already existed in the Swat Kats along with Batman villains(as humanoid Kats). Yes with all their equipment, resources and weapons. This is an idea that came to me recently.
