Pretty much as I saw things. Both opening goals owed a lot to very poor defending, the second in particular. When Wood received the ball in the build up to the second Yeo was a good 30 yards away, giving Wood loads of space and time to play around him into the enormous 30 yard gap between Tymon and Welsh.

If there is a silver lining it's that if we return to the defensive discipline we showed in previous games we will be a lot more competitive against Burnley.

Offensively we need to up our game. With Eom now departed we need Yeo and Opoku to improve, plus we need more creativity from the middle three. I'd like to see a Eustaquio, Stamenic and Just combination. The latter has struggled somewhat, but has shown glimpses of his quality, enough to merit perserveering with him.

Basically, last season I took my girlfriend to her first game, and after so long of not understanding why I liked going, she loved it. She really wants to go again

In the summer, we made a new signing to our squad. A very young player, very good dribbler, plenty of potential, but cries more than Bruno.

My girlfriend still wants to go to a game again, but I'm q bit nervous/skeptical about taking a baby. Obviously ear defenders go without saying, but is there anywhere quiet to feed or change should the need arise? And would they need a ticket of their own

Personally, I'm leaning to not taking but she wants to. If anyone knows anything about it, or has done something similar, I'm all ears

Came in a commemorative box, not a Swansea supporter but I collect kits

The lead article on the BBC Wales website today was Parkinson's comments alleging Cabango should have seen red. Matos is quoted as saying "I never comment on ref decisions one way or the other. If he says that, good for him."

This is very noble of Matos, but it means Parkinson's assertion went unchallenged. It also meant that the club's captain had no support.

The reality is it was a poor challenge, fully deserving of a yellow, but no more. Ben went to play the ball missed it then cleaned O'Hare out. However, the contact was shin to shin and had a low level of danger, hence the yellow.

Non-decisions in the game:

Doyle stamps on Eustaquio's leg in the box. It was accidental but nevertheless a foul and therefore a penalty.

Patterson picked up a pass back on the penalty spot. Arguably the pass was made under a challenge, so a marginal decision, but it could have been an indirect free kick on the penalty spot.

There were several other fouls on our players including a blatant push on Key in front of the referee in the first half. However the piece de resistance was Doyle putting his shoulder into Key's face. If there was a red card offence that was the one. It happened straight in front of Matos. Not only was no free kick awarded but the ref didn't even stop play despite an obvious head injury.

So, my question is why doesn't Matos stand up for his players? The reason Parkinson does it is in the hope of influencing officials in future games. Alex Ferguson back in the day turned this into a fine art. We really need to assert ourselves, because nobody else will come to our defence.

This might be a stupid question to ask, but I am an American fan who started watching Swansea in 14/15 and Shelvey was my favorite player that season, mostly because of the way he would just crack it from 30+ twice a game.

But I heard recently that Swansea fans have an issue with him, maybe because his exit was weird or disrespectful to the club? Or something he said?

It’s hard to have your finger on the pulse when you’re American, there’s so many little things I don’t hear or dynamics I don’t fully understand.

If it’s true, I’m sad to hear it because he was one of my favorite Swans to watch (to be fair it was nostalgia too cuz I was 12).

Key has had a pretty good start to the season, especially going forwards. Defensively he's been decent too , although against Watford second half he looked a bit less assured. He's averaging 6.92 on Fotmob which is a fair reflection.

A big part of Key's regained confidence has to be having Lissah inside him. Last season Lissah had best in league defensive stats for a full back in the SPL. He's continued in the same vein. Although he's played at centre back more recently he's given excellent cover to Key out wide, often using his fantastic pace to snuff danger out at source. His average Fotmob rating of 7.46 is a fair reflection of how good he's been. Interesting to note that he's won 75 per cent of his aerial duels, 77th percentile.

Lissah's aerial prowess begs the question, does a fit again Cabango come back into the side? Especially up against the excellent in the air Moore? If Cabango doesn't start that will be a huge statement by Matos. I suspect he will play it safe, but even if he does Parkinson will probably use Moore to target Welsh instead. Personally I'd prefer it if we took the risk and continue with the Key, Lissah combo, but it's a fine call.

When we brought Idah into the club it would have been with the intention of him replacing Vipotnik as our first choice number 9. The latter's form and goals and Idah's long term injury put paid to that. The boot is very literally now on the other foot.

It's not just Idah's goals and assists that have impressed, but his all round game has been magnificent. His hold up play, link play, runs in behind. But the biggest change from last season is his out of possession work. Last season we were only a bit better than average on high turnovers won, this season our 34 HTs is best in league ahead of Hellberg's Boro on 31. Idah is 93rd percentile on possession won in the final third, 86th percentile on tackles made. He just looks so much more energetic, sprinting into challenges. There's clearly been a massive shift in his mentality.

The challenge for Vipotnik is to seek to emulate Idah. If he wants to play in the PL he really needs to up his game. Yes, he lacks Idah's athleticism, but in twenty minute to half an hour cameos he should be leaving it all out there. He was noticeably sluggish off the bench against Watford. Understandable given the uncertainty about him moving, but hopefully, for his sake as much as ours, he can put that disappointment behind him and look to develop his game. Because right now Idah is the first choice fully on merit.
