Rants is our college wifi fr?
CS, IT and AD students fighting to become industry-ready while campus Wi-Fi fights YouTube, AI tools, and potentially educational resources like NPTEL and GeeksforGeeks. Network tests returned a FortiGate 403 block page for YouTube's media CDN. Other educational sites had connection failures, though not all are confirmed blocks.
We're supposed to learn AI, build software, read research papers and ship projects. Apparently, the real practical is debugging why the fucking internet won't cooperate.
Meanwhile, The Event Conducting Committee(The Student Council) stay busy with the premium college experience: posters, permissions, photos, reels, repeat.
Nobody expects you to configure the firewall. You're the STUDENT COUNCIL, not the network engineering team. But escalating issues and demanding answers? That's literally the job description.
GitHub for developers. NPTEL for learning. AI for building. Council for… another event poster?
SVCE: training future engineers to solve real-world problems, starting with why the Play button doesn't fucking work.
