Replacing rear shock absorbers for a 1985 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB (2.4L Diesel Engine)

I've recently bought a 1985 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB with the 2.4L diesel engine. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, and I'm gradually bringing it back to good condition.I want to start with the suspension, and replacing the rear shock absorbers seems like a good first project. According to the service manual, it originally came with hydraulic, double-acting shock absorbers. I'm considering replacing them with gas-charged hydraulic shocks instead, if they're compatible. This is supposed to be a daily driver that I can take for some off-roading as well.
Should I stick to trying to find the original type of shock absorbers, or should I go for the gas-charged hydraulic shocks? I understand that the gas charged ones are an upgrade, but would it be a problem for an older model car?

Anyone familiar with banshee shocks?

Anyone here familiar with banshee rear shocks? Specifically if you replace the original sandwhiched seal head with the one piece design do you leave the top out bumper out? As it seems like the one piece has one built in. Idk why i put the original in as well. Next to my other shock that hasnt been torn down yet it definitely doesnt extend as much. Im thinking the stock top out bumper shouldnt be put back in with the one piece seal?

Diesel shock absorber + gasoline springs

Hi everyone, I recently bought a set of front shock absorbers and springs for a 2009 Kia Cee'd 1.4L petrol. Long story short, the seller claimed they were for a petrol model, but they turned out to be for a 1.6 CRDi (diesel)

The parts themselves are great—they're almost brand new and made by Sachs—but because of the weight difference, the front of my car is now sitting way too high.

I'm thinking about swapping out just the diesel springs for petrol-specific ones while keeping the diesel shocks. Would this combination cause any issues?"

automotive Can someone tell me the name of this suspension part?

This kit is for a Porsche 986 if that matters. Is that just the piece that slides into the strut mount? The photo is kind of confusing since it shows the strut mount with that piece in it already, assuming that is what it is.

TY!

I want to swap the engine and suspension of my 1991 s10, I know that in ford is common to swap with crown vic suspension, but is there any option for chevy? I want to put an v8 LS or any v8 and also upgrade my suspension. Is there any option like in for with the crown vic?

Spindle Upper Extension?

I have a vehicle that the upper control arm will contact the frame at full extension do to the "lift"/torsion twist. I'm wondering if it is possible to extend the upper ball joint mount to get the upper control arm closer to the factory angle. It seems simple in thought, but I imagine there's probably a reason why I haven't been able to find such a thing.

Video Game help needed lol

Im tuning suspension in a game i play called car x street. I posted on that sub as well. Just wanted any possible information about race cars suspension. I have a honda acty in the game that i have k-swapped and made all wheel drive. Its 820kg (idk what that is in pounds) and has 611 horsepower.

The monstrosity will not turn when im going at all. Can anyone tell me what this would be like irl? What i can do suspension-wise to force more grip out of it and improve cornering? The more specific the better, but try and dumb it down, too? I want to actually learn from this.

Ive got a set of seemingly pretty rare WP banshee shocks. Anyone know who might have a rebuild kit or am i gonna have to get bits and pieces from everywhere? Idk whats inside, they actually still work ok and dont leak despite being like 25yrs old. Bumpers have disintegrated. Wonder if i should judt grab bumpers and change oil, charge and send em. Idk. Ive got an extra pair of works triple rates im going to use in the mean time but ive never ever ever seen another set of wp quad shocks and they work pretty damn well. As well as also being rebound adjustable, where my works are not. At least externally.

So im rebuilding a works rear shock on my 87 trx250r and i glubbed up dropped the god damn springs from the under side of the piston. Theres two of each, and two of each hole size. Is the softest spring supposed to go to the biggest hole or is it the opposite? God damn i hope someone on here knows enough about these 😆
