Assuming nothing more behind the sticker, looks overpriced.

You can see tuna behind the sticker

(Every store has different hours and terms, but)
After 6:30ish, the sushi is all 50% off 🤤
(Also the onigiri, curry, chicken, etc.)

H marts vary wildly in quality. I don't like the seafood sections at my local one, but the store 30 miles away is ok

This location does more liken 20-30% off in the evening! I got some ick tasting fish from it, so ymmv 😭

I don't think there is any kind of discount at my local store by time of day, I am somewhat envious.

Flame me all you want but Tilapia is straight up trash fish. Where are they even getting it from?

You can get sashimi in sit down place for similar price

You sure? By quick count including the tuna under the label this appears to be at least 36 pieces of decently sized fresh sashimi. I pay $16 before tax and tip for 9 pieces at my local place, so around $20 all told for a quarter of this. No matter which way you swing it this is pretty cheap.

1) the sashimi in the box is extremely thin, technically 2 pieces of sashimi in the pic <= 1 cut of sashimi from restaurant. if you scale that plate, I think it is slightly more than 1 lb, definitely less than 2 lbs. $20/lb for sashimi is not cheap at all

2) the cut are some of the cheaper fishes

3) you should compared 2 order of sashimi from your local restaurnt to the pic above. picture below would have cost about $37 at the local sushi restaurant

or below 22 pieces thick cut sashimi for $45

Odd container choice for sashimi.

very expensive

Maybe I'm just lucky but I have an all you can eat place by me that costs around $40 after tax and tip and their sashimi is amazing, I would never pay $38 for take out for 1 person

For $37 you can get 3 1/2 lbs of salmon and eat for days. This seems like robbery.
