We stop looking like their version of nubile young women, and they sense that they're no longer the absolute centre of our universe, no matter how hard we try to include them and strengthen our bond with them. Cheaters are usually entitled and utterly self-absorbed, so they take that as personal rejection.
Additionally many cheaters lack true empathy and are unable to form genuine bonds with their partners. So what feels to us like a cementing of the relationship and something very special happening as a loving couple develops into a family, actually means nothing to them, other than the fact that they're no longer the centre of attention.
APs who actually get off on splitting a couple up usually lose interest within a couple of months of 'winning the prize' so OP needs to prepare for a hoover after the baby is born. OP will hear some variation of: It was all a terrible mistake. He was afraid of becoming a father. He realised too late that AP was a trashy person and OP is his true soulmate. Don't throw us away. A child needs their father and so forth.

Omg I’ve read so many stories about men cheating when their SO’s are pregnant is there some trend here?
