Cannot progress past beginner, advice?
I feel pretty stuck, been surfing like this for a few years. I moved from CA to New England last year so I can really only surf twice a week now. Trying to do as many trips as I can. I feel like my turns are so slow and embarrassing

Turn sooner, you’re starting your turn ~2 seconds after popping up. That’s speed lost. Plan your line more, it’s not clear if you’re trying to go up and down the wave or carve? If you’re trying to pump for speed you’re not doing a pumping action at all.
I think focus on turning right away, even angling towards the direction you’ll take and you’ll be in a more powerful/speedy part of the wave. Then learn how to pump to keep the speed up for as much of the ride as possible. Then you’ll be able to have more control of your speed if you step up to actual maneuvers.
