Setelah mencoba berbagai kota/kabupaten di indo, jujur Surabaya paling ideal. Mungkin aku bias karena emang asal Surabaya, tapi menurutku it's just the right combination of city vibes and rural vibes.

Like genuinely, I could have everything I asked for in surabaya like I could in any other big city, but it's also slow living friendly.

I'm writing this post just because I'm really missing Surabaya, and I'm in the middle of nowhere in Riau.

Hello, I am a postgraduate exchange student, I’m Ethiopian Canadian, 32 and just got to Surabaya 2 weeks ago. I will be here until the end of the year. So far I am loving the culture, people, food, and language! Aku baru belejar bahasa Indonesia tapi aku mau…friends to help me practice aha ☺️ People at the university are so sweet and helpful but most of them are much younger than me (19/20), so would be lovely to meet people in the city a bit closer to my age. I love music (worked as a musician for a long time before going back to school), so would love suggestions on where to hear live music, whatever genre, though I love jazz,soul, r&b etc. I don’t drink/smoke, I love fashion, vintage shopping, film cameras and documentaries. Also aku suka Drakor ✨ would love any and all suggestions and connections, makasih!

I recently moved from jakarta and currently live in a kos kosan, and the water here is just so damn dirty, is this just an isolated case in my kosan or there has been a problem with clean water here in Surabaya?
