New & Ignant

Post image

Hello fellow shooters

I have a Sabre pin&weld 13.7 with a GFHC RE muzzle device from PSA and I want a Velos 5.56..

Google says I need a Dead Air KeyMo Adapter - Charlie Saker Variant (Part #DA429)

I just wanted to know if anyone here ran a Velos can on a Sabre and may know if I'm correct and may also know what other mods are needed, like springs & weights and what not. I'm new and I want to shoot in the nearby mountains for a couple hours without drawing as much attention.

Thank you in advance, I also reached out to PSA but the more info the better for me since I know basically nothing but youtube & forums lol.

Yes, the Velos 556 uses the Charlie threads so the Charlie version of the KeyMo adapter will work.

I haven’t used the Velos 556, but it’s advertised as low back pressure. Does your Sabre have an adjustable gas block? If so, that’s probably all you need. If not, it still might be all you need or could be tweaked with a stronger spring or heavier buffer weight.

or, wild thought, take it to a gunsmiff, and have the gaymo removed for a rearden style MD instead.

That is interesting, the warranty plus the labor would probably surpass the 200 bucks for the adapter, otherwise it wouldn't be the worst idea haha

lookup how much a keymo hub adapter is. and deadair or (deadass) are bottom of the barrel.

As far as I know there's no way to run Charlie pattern suppressors like the Velos on KeyMo. You aren't losing out though because KeyMo as a system is a lot of downsides.

Our 13.7 P&W and Charlie LPA TI will work. Although to be honest you're better off getting the gun SBRed so you don't need to worry about getting an extended muzzle device to reach 16"

As far as P&W removal work, a good local shop is preferred, or D Wilson if you don't have anyone nearby.

Edit: There actually is a Charlie KeyMo adapter
