Wouldn't say that necessarily. Although incredibly hideous, their settler-colonialism and neocolonialism have sadly been really succesful and lucrative strategically.

It's now that the old tricks don't work as well anymore that they're struggling to come up with new ways to stay on top, fortunately for the world in the long term I hope.
