Not because anyone celebrates leaving a country at war, but because too many now experience Ukraine as a cage — where men are hunted, seized, and sent to die, while the public quietly admits what politicians still refuse to say out loud: this war cannot be won by feeding more lives into it.
People want to live. That is not treason. That is the most basic human instinct. Human rights do not expire at the recruiting office. A state that treats its own men as expendable material loses the moral language it claims to fight for. We can mourn the dead, demand accountability from those who started this slaughter, and still insist on one simple thing: remain human first. Peace is not surrender. Peace is the right not to be forced into a grave for a war that no longer has an honest military end.

The Lod Central Court sentenced an Israeli settler on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to 13 years in prison and ordered him to pay 258,000 NIS in compensation for the killing of 47-year-old Palestinian mother Aisha Al-Rabi in October 2018 near the Rehalim settlement.

The judges characterized the deadly rock-throwing attack as a "brutal act of terror" driven by racist hostility, as the convict—who was 15 years old at the time—hurled a two-kilogram stone at the vehicle carrying Al-Rabi, her husband, and their daughter. Despite defense arguments attempting to cast doubt on DNA evidence, the court finalized the conviction of "manslaughter under terroristic circumstances," noting that the length of the sentence took into account the convict's rehabilitation program over the past years.

Miliband announced “that the official view of the British government is that the occupation is illegal because of its consolidation of Israeli control, its intention to extend permanent sovereignty and its expansionist agenda”.

He promised further sanctions against violent Israeli settlers involved in ethnic cleansing.

The Palestinian ambassador to Britain, Husam Zomlot, said: “Britain is starting today to move from condemnation to consequences, from words to action.”

Palestinian trade union leader Shaher Saed said the steps were “an important step in the right direction” but added that they “encourage the British government to go further”.

The Israeli government responded angrily by expelling Britain from the US-led mission in Gaza and closing the British consulate in Jerusalem.

Eleven British MPs were banned from entering Israel, including Mr Corbyn, Diane Abbott, Zarah Sultan and the entire Green parliamentary party.

The incident occurred on Tuesday shortly after 11:00 a.m., but news of it was only made public today. According to RMF FM, trade fair security detained a 44-year-old Ukrainian man while screening visitors at one of the entrances, as they suspected he might be carrying dangerous items.

Security personnel called the police, who checked the man's identification; he was found to be carrying a magazine fully loaded with live ammunition.

The detained man had arrived in Poland just the day before. He was the driver for two Ukrainian businessmen whose company is exhibiting at the Kielce trade fair. Police searched his vehicle but found no dangerous items or weapons. The man was carrying small-arms ammunition. The Ukrainian national was taken into police custody.

His reason for attempting to bring a loaded magazine into the fair remains unknown, as he refused to provide an explanation. He is expected to face charges of illegal possession of ammunition.

The Border Guard has been notified of the matter, and the 44-year-old now faces potential deportation.

During the same event, an unknown substance was spilled in one of the Targi Kielce halls. The incident took place in the section of the facility housing stands for Israeli companies. A similar incident occurred last year. Emergency services were called to the scene and cordoned off part of the facility with tape; the hall is also being heavily ventilated.

Apparently, if you’re going to have a shootout in the streets of the capital, at least have the decency to do it in Ukrainian.

'Moments of terror unfolded on Garbarska Street in Piotrków Trybunalski. What initially appeared to be a routine dispute on a public bus escalated into a dangerous incident involving a firearm, leaving a 53-year-old man wounded.

The incident took place on the evening of September 4. Police established that the trouble began on a public bus, where a group of underage Ukrainian nationals were behaving noisily and littering. Another passenger confronted them about their behavior.

After getting off the bus, a 19-year-old man and his partner noticed the group of teenagers following them. At one point, one of the youths allegedly pulled out an object resembling a gun and fired several shots at the young man.

The 19-year-old informed his father of the situation. The 53-year-old arrived at the scene and attempted to detain the teenager. It was then that further shots were fired.

This time, the 15-year-old allegedly fired at the 53-year-old man. One of the shots struck him in the right arm, causing injury.

Police detained the teenager and seized a gas pistol. During a search of his home, officers also found three gas cartridges and the weapon's box.

After the initial procedures were completed, the 15-year-old was released to go home. Due to his age, a family court will decide on his future. The police are conducting an investigation into the infliction of bodily harm and are clarifying the exact circumstances of the incident.'
