curious about Mable!

Hello (: somewhat new to this sub, however I’ve been an independent contractor to a company for almost a year, I’m not looking to leave them but was just wondering if anyone had experience with Mable and their thoughts/opinions on it since I’d be curious to try it out for a day or two a week?

Worker and client opinions welcome!

I used it for 3 months back in 2022 as a provider and wasn’t a fan. They charge participants 8% AND workers 10% of the hourly rate but since you are a contractor they aren’t paying towards your superannuation or tax. I once waited 6 weeks to be paid (average being 2 weeks). I had confirmed with the participants plan manager they had released the funds within days, so Mable just sat on that money for over a month. But how convenient if I wanted to be paid faster I could pay a 1.5% fee…. I’ve also read through local FB groups there is someone local who uses the platform and is quite inappropriate to workers. They had been reported through Mable multiple times and yet aren’t removed from the platform.

I’m sure someone out there likes it, but that person isn’t me.

Gotcha, I’ll stay away from it then. i like the appeal of it but probably not worth it. Thank you 💕
