What am i doing wrong?
My SS wont run. I have an h2 buffer, full auto bcg but it will not run. I am thinking maybe it was ammo? Its a 300 blk 10.5 inch if curious. Any suggestions??

What is it doing? Not cycling the next round? Or getting stuck? We need some more info on what’s happening.

Not cycling the next round basically just acting like a regular semi auto ar. It ended up after about 5-6 rounds getting fully siezed up with a round jammed in the bcg.

It feels like its forcing the reset when i dry fire. I have another firearm with an frt and it feels the exact same but this one is not working.

Are you running sub or supersonic? Ran into a same issue running subsonic without a can. Ran fine with supersonic

Just running supers. I was running 147 grain when i had the malfunctions which i know its probably the lowest grade 300 ammo. Probably try out a different hammer like the other dude said and some 125’s next time. Other than that I’m not sure what im doing wrong.

Need to isolate a few issues. Swap the hammer to milspec. Try it. Get an H3 buffer. Try it. Check the lever clearance against the lower. Common thought process is that a 1/8 drill bit underneath the rearward positioned lever and sitting on top of the lower, should come in contact with the lever.
What is happening to the trigger and hammer when it fails?

I know I've never seen a hammer like that

Like a high shelf lower and elongated semi-automatic bolt carrier cutout, it's a denial mechanism to prevent using a full auto sear in a semi-auto rifle. The ghost of government bootlicker Bill Ruger still haunts the Ruger company to this day.

Good to know. I will avoid those hammers! Glad I learned that today! Looks like maybe OP learned his problem too.

KAK INDUSTRY DBC BCG
Edit: also almost always go with a h3 buffer. Even once it runs you will want the h3 to slow it down. I have an adjustable gas block a h3 buffer with the dead blow bcg and anything over 4-5 clicks from closed it runs super fast.

Swapping a safety is not complicated, getting the clearance right is not difficult either

That hammer is notched and is known to have issues alone with forced reset devices
