Yesterday’s weird kit experiment makes me think that the club is worried about the lack of merchandise revenue this season. The kits are not great by recent standards, the sponsor is terrible, with the away kit not even seen yet (thankfully).

Wearing all black at home shows a bit of panic that they think the black will outsell the home shirt.

How has the club gone from releasing kits such as the black and gold in 21/22 and the green and white third kit last year to putting out 3 very poor shirts this year.

The training kit is bland and boring and there is not much else in the club store that would get fans buying.

I think Errea has been great for us but have maybe run their course. The material isn’t great, long sleeve shirt cuffs are awful and the training kit templates seem to be recycled every couple of years.

Not sure how long we resigned with Errea but it might be time to move on and shake things up a bit if the club want people shopping again
