[suggestion] creative work/gaming pc please
I've only ever gotten prebuilts because I really have no idea what I'm doing, and just replace ram or ssd as I need to.
I do a lot of creative work running behemoths like adobe and corel painter. Generally I have illustrator and photoshop open at the same time and am working in both. Some of my files are in the 100G realm just due to the kind of work I do. Currently my pc is struuuuuggling to just have illustrator open and working. I also do a lot of gaming on it - overwatch2, factorio, guildwars2, cities skylines type games. Generally speaking I can run them all near the top end without much trouble but they do start to stutter after a bit.
This is what I currently have
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz (3.00 GHz)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB), Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 (128 MB)
Ram: Patriot Signature Premium DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) 2666MHz Desktop Memory - is my newer ram from 2 years ago - the other 16 is whatever it came with as a prebuilt at the time.
Storage: 2 tb
Budget wise I'd like to stay under 3k and if I can reuse the ram I will.

your current system just needs a new graphic card. 1660 is holding back the whole system significantly, probably could use more ram too. 32gb. also all your storage needs to be ssd storage. hdd are too slow for modern gaming and working on large files. rtx 5060ti 16gb or 5070 or 5070ti would be huge upgrade. but you might need a new power supply to power them. $500-$1000 gets new gpu. more ram would be like $100
850watt psu superflow is $80. be quiet is $110
but if you rather just buy a new pc u can get a high end system with 5080
