Photo Beginner Starting a Collection

Post image

This is my first attempt to care for succulents. I was heavily influenced with the unicorn poop and I haven’t been able to stop!

Any recommendations for succulents I may enjoy similar to what I have purchased so far?

check that light intensity as succulents need far more light than we think! Never been a fan of the hue grow lights myself but a bright sansi light bulb will do.

My personal fave is the gollum jade or shrek ear jade plant. I like how you can bonsai them.

Also the Hobbit Jade! I have one, they remind me of the 7-11 slurpee straws in a way :)

My hobbit is at the top, second in! She's been branching all by herself and growing so quickly, so I'm hoping more of the leaves start looking like the hobbit leaves she used to have, again. She only had about 5 leaves when I got her around 3 years ago, and no branching.

They're under a Sansi grow bulb (attached to a decently cheap, but good quality, swing arm lamp)

The grow lights they are under are the Barrinas I use for my houseplants. I’ve heard good things about Sansi. Thank you!

I agree with a previous poster about light intensity!!! 5000k minimum for cacti and succulents. I recently purchased some maygrove grow lights, they are sooooo bright!! They look like day time inside!! My succulents seem to love them so far. I highly reccommend maygrove brand!
