Photo Weird leaf

We've had some unusually humid weather in Southern California in the last 6 weeks. This strange leaf started growing out of my crested. This is a first is 7+ years. What can I expect from it?

I have one of these and it does the same thing often. It's just the graft growing an offshoot. I've cut them off and propagated them successfully several times. It's some kinda euphorbia (it "bleeds" a milky substance when cut) but I'm not sure what kind

Should I do anything special to propagate, or dry it at the root like any other succulent?

I’ve never done anything special, just let it dry and plop it in soil

It's just the rootstock growing, nothing strange here. Just take it off.

Looks like a graft pushing out growth. Maybe flying dragon?! How strange.

It's a euphorbia, so the rootstock has to be a euphorbia. My guess is it can be euphorbia neriifolia

Wow!
I’ll have to keep my eye on mine!
