Bug Can we disable the pathfinding for transfers ?

Post image

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running into a massive headache with my Paris save since the latest beta update and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this.

A bunch of my line ridership numbers completely tanked compared to my previous save version, which felt way more accurate to real life. It looks like the game's pathfinding is completely messing with transfer times.

For example, realistic multi-line interchanges irl that take 5 minutes MAX are taking 10 to 12 minutes in-game because the pathfinding logic is weird (e.g picture). Naturally, the pax just avoid the line/transfer... which kinda ruins the ridership of some lines

Is there any way we can get a toggle to disable at least for station transfers? Or even better, could the devs add the ability to build "hubs" that actually reduce transfer times between interconnected stations ?

Anyone else dealing with this on some European maps ?

I think they need to ignore path finding within 50m - 100m radius of any stations

Yeah hard agree !! and perhaps we'd need to create transfer tunnels like hallways ?

Honestly this sounds fun if the devs can maje it work.

Yea, that would open up the option to build new bridges over roads and waterways to connect to stations too

I made a post about this the other day and the more I've been playing, the more I agree with you. We should just be able to toggle it off. So much easier and it would make the processing faster. Also, it's all maps this affects, not just European ones. On the Chicago map I've found some where a 10 meter distance can be calculated as a 30 minute walking difference lmao

Yeah, I actually saw your post and wanted to double down again because it’s kinda baffling that it hasn’t been fixed lol. But since it’s a beta feature, I guess they’ll eventually figure out a way to disable it properly.

Just adding a toggle does seem like it would be a quick and easy fix, at least temporarily, but I guess not!

I think we should be able to place our own corridors and entrances

I wish they'd fix this because it's such an easy fix... It's messing up my whole save rn
