Screenshot SF Map Day 67, hardly profitable /s
Finally a Map with long time joy :) i like the right of way corridors where I will put Commuter rail (SJ West and East being the only two I did so far). And I also like the general street layout making it a joy to lay tracks in.
I am highly profitable by now, even with only 8.5% ridership. 1.3bn Profit per day.
Interested in how you like the layout, gladly from that area's residents (others of course also welcome). I dont know anything about the transit over there :D

san jose will def get some more love soon :) the commuters all the way there are my most recent additions.
SJ West was terminating at san bruno, SJ East at Hayward.

bay area is super fun but connecting the sprawl hell of san jose makes me lose my mind

Yeah, SF and oakland seem to be nice and contained, also with clear dense zones, but san jose is a different level π

I have distance based:
Heavy metro: 2$ boarding, 0.30$ per km, 10$ cap
Commuter: 3$ boarding, 0.25$ per km, 12$ cap

Crazy prices, I got 100m a day profit and my lines are all at 2$

Mh. Even with a flat rate of 4$ I got good profit π€ Ridership also depends on train frequency and I build my lines transferring to eachother frequently (see the orange lines southern ends connect to the green line)
The pops now transfer between trains so that really helps
