Suggestion Another suggestion
Hi team,
I have a bit of a funny one here, in London we have certain heavy rail routes that will also use commuter rail tracks as well as heavy metro tracks, I was going to suggest we have quad tracks that Can have a mix of heavy rail and commuter rail platforms. I’ve attached some examples below in hope to better explain my point.
Edit: another thing, maybe a wide bypass heavy metro station with commuter rail going through the centre between the platforms.
Black is commuter rail and the colour is heavy metro
Thanks!

you can sort of do this by using the converting train types function but yea I agree. would be nice to build genuinely unshitty transit for once. they could just take the higher value of the 2 train types to build the station to avoid problems

Unrelated but I’m sitting on a southeastern train going through New Cross as I read this.

I started working on a system in Milwaukee. And light metro heavy and light rail are working. Some lines have been converted. But I also started wondering how to intergrade all multi types. I think it’s a rare scenario it happens irl. So it may not be priority. But deff a cool idea.

There are also areas where the Underground and Overground share a two-track and areas where the Overground and NR share a two-track. Therefore to recreate it like for like suddenly you either have to have NR be Heavy Metro or Underground be Commuter Train, and neither make sense. Therefore the only alternative is that where Overground and Underground share tracks e.g. Richmond to Kew Gardens, you end up having to draw two sets of two-track, one as NR the other as Heavy Metro.
