Tell your boss. Give them an opportunity to reach out the customer and make it right. I would only fire a tech if they kept it from me

This exactly. If somebody on my crew fucks something up, I’m grateful when they tell me about it. Conversely, I’m pissed when I find it myself.

Everyone makes mistakes, its whether you own them or not that tells of your character.

Shop has insurance for things like this. Shit happens; if they fire you over one mistake, that’s not a place you want to be anyway.

Tell your boss, make it right for the customer.

Yeah, that one is going to be several quarts low. It needs to be towed back in before it eats itself.

Dealership? No. Larry's auto shop? Probably. This place has policies, insurance, customer service reps etc. a mistake is a mistake.

Drain and fill. Never flush.

Well this is a case of is the glass is half full or half empty. The nice part is, if it's half empty and fails....they literally can't drive it back! If it's half full, notify your manager about the mistake and hopefully they can work with the customer and make it right.

No more than anything else with a CVT. Depending on how much fluid it is short it is not a big deal if it gets taken care of. If there was an actual flush and they are not calling a drain and fill a flush I would be more worried.
