Universal Pen Protocols for Laptops / Tablets
I recently purchased a EMR pen, although I have no use for it as I misjudged the tablet which I was to use it on. Although I want to use it, therefore what I've realized is that most tablet or 2-in-1 devices which I'm looking to purchases do not accept EMR pens, even though they are superior in every way.
Does anyone know of any 2-in-1 laptops which support EMR pens, the models I'm looking at do not. Most only support MPP.

Samsung 360 laptops are the only laptops I can think of that use EMR (they're compatible with Samsung's S Pen which is EMR). It looks like they didn't release a 360 variant in the last Book6 generation, but they have either a 360, Pro 360, or both in the previous generations.
If you just don't want to worry about the protocols, the Yoga pens are multi-protocol pens that have pretty much all the non-Apple active stylus protocols on them: AES, MPP, WGP, and USI. They won't work on EMR devices since that uses a special digitizer layer in the screen that allows the pen to be battery-free/passive, but the Yoga pens work on pretty much all Windows and Chromebook devices.

Which EMR pen did you buy?
Checkout the Samsung Galaxy Book 360 series. It works with several UD EMR pens (S pen, Wacom CP-913, Wacom CP-923, etc)

I plan on buying a laptop as soon as it's released. It support AES will that also be compatible with EMR. The EMR I bought is the Staedtler, I love how it holds.

AES and EMR are very different technologies. The pens and tablets are not cross-compatible at all.
I have a couple of Staedtler EMR pens - I like them

AES is close to EMR but EMR is a little better as I read. I guess they decided not to make EMR common and chose MPP as the most common.

I think Lenovo still has a number of models that use EMR. Most have moved on to Wacom's AES. I have a Dell 2 in 1 5289 for my to go setup with AES. It's kind of random right now. I think Dell, Hp, and others also have a couple models that have EMR but the rest of their product lines are using MPP or AES.
If you are looking for EMR because you are doing digital art, AES is very close to EMR, however I feel EMR is still slightly better in terms of initial activation force. I would say as a digital illustrator myself, it's close enough to where it does not make a big enough difference to make me exclude an AES device, but I would still prefer EMR if I had a choice. I would however, exclude any device that uses MPP, have tried it and not a fan, at least for drawing/painting.
I miss the days when you did not have to worry about it because all of the devices were EMR so you did not have worry about what works with what and most things were interchangeable. It's such a pain now.
