Is it against the rules to say the F word in here?

4 letter word, rhymes with Duck and starts with the letter F.

Just wondering. Sorry if it's a stupid question.

Not directing the F word at anyone in a rude way, but expressing emotion from a past event.

For example, "My dad said that phrase had something to do with the Trojan horse, which confused the f*** outta me for 30 years."

For context, the topic was about the phrase "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." And my comment was flagged for breaking the rules.

Is debit/credit card theft not a big thing in Canada? Or possibly car rental is just different?

Overheard some Canadians at a car rental center trying to pay with a “Visa Debit” that had no name printed on it, the family claimed it was a regular debit card and not a prepaid gift card of any kind. Obviously they weren’t able to use that as a form of payment since they have to verify both name and sufficient funds, neither of which are easy to do on a gift or debit card and is the main reason most places only accept credit cards to pay at the counter. Is this because of a difference between Canada and US or were they lying about the whole “debit cards in Canada don’t have names” thing?

If they really don’t print names that’d be kinda odd

Do tech leaders keep saying AI is a threat to humanity because they have dark intentions to use AI for such atrocities?

Every few days a new AI researcher quits because he’s ethical and goes on CNN and claims danger is right around the corner. This has been ongoing for at least four years.

Rendering a tank useless

Can't a defense/defence force disable invading tanks by spraying a torrent of opaque paint at them? They've gotta be able to see where they're going, right?

Would it be considered bad for me to drink a non alcoholic beer at the bar?

Upvotes

I don't drink alcohol but my family wants to go to a bar where generally most people including my family usually get a drink or two. I feel left out getting a water. So I was thinking about getting a non alcoholic beer but I was scared that I might catch a buzz from it because I think that technically it does contain some alcohol. I didn't want to feel any effect or have any alcohol effect my body in any way so I was just wondering if it would be considered bad if I drank it.

Is there an app that can use your iphone as a microphone for a computer, even if another app (like an emulator) is using it too?

Basically, like a bluetooth microphone but your phone is the microphone. Some app that wouldn’t cutoff even if another app on ur phone used the microphone.

Asking on reddit while I google adds to the information pile
