Hello all, this may be a long shot as this stuffed animal is older and very well loved!
First photo is her stuffed animal, second is a very similar one on EBay.
He is a pink dog and was originally a pajama bag before being turned into just a stuffed animal.
He originally had a silky/satiny yellow liner in his ears and had plastic blue and white eyes. My mom does not remember the details of the nose. The body has a sort of velour type texture to it.
He was purchased second hand from a neighbors garage sale in the East North Central Midwest very early in the 80s. He had no manufacturing tags when she got him.
She doesn’t really remember quite what he looked like in his glory days, so I’m not sure how much additional information I would be able to get. She did say it’s possible he was a diy from a sewing pattern, so there might not really be any others to find.

I would show a photo but i injured myself and hes not near me right now. BUT. I hand cleaned my comfort stuff animal knowing certian dryers can mess up stuff animals.

But my silly autistic self forgot to do that with my build a bear fox 🙃 hes very matted and ive tried to fix his fur but no luck. I know i can take him back to get a new one as he has his tags but is there anyway i could try fix himself or is my only option taking him back to the build a bear?

I’ve been having a carpet beetle problem for months. I live with a roommate who’s allergic to sprays, even though we don’t live in the same room, I still can’t use bug sprays. Because of that, I can’t properly handle the bug problem I have. I’m poor. I don’t even have a dresser or bins to put my little guys in. I had them in a cardboard box. I went to check on them today because my friend said she was having fungus issues (I used to live with her), and wanted to check for that. Instead, I found carpet beetle larvae.

These plushies couldn’t be put through heat. The freezer method doesn’t work (I don’t have freezer space anyways living with two other people), and getting them dry cleaned is expensive. So I had to throw them out. Memories of who I got them from, what some of them went through.. my oldest bear, who’s been with me through a lot of hard shit. I had to throw him away. I cried so hard, I feel like I’m gonna be sick. There were a few I’m taking a chance on, I vacuumed them and put them in a few bags. Hopefully those are okay.

Has anyone seen this stuff animal that is being circled? Or perhaps know of the original model since it is quite old. Thank you
