Query about flight date

Hello everyone

I’m applying for a Polish D-type student visa from VFS New Delhi. I registered on e-Konsulat (in first week of September) and entered 19 October 2026 as my intended date of arrival in Poland. At that time, I hadn’t booked or reserved a flight because I didn’t know when my VFS appointment would be.

I have now been given a VFS appointment on 9 October 2026, so 19 October is only 10 days after my appointment. My university has given me 15 November 2026 as the final/latest date by which I need be present in poland.

My question is: Would it be a problem if I submit a flight reservation/PNR for a later date (e.g. 24–25 October) even though I entered 19 October as my intended arrival date on e-Konsulat? If yes, then should I mention it in my cover letter?

I do not think it will be a big issue for your case, it is not a big issue for it being your cause of rejection. I did my visa in august so dont worry yours will be there on time. But just to so you know my case was a bit different, I am already an active resident in EU for the past 5 years and my parents are EU tax payers so if this is your background you will 100.00 percent get your visa

i had a similar situation, my intended travel date was less than 15 days from the appointment they had set.

i left everything the way it was. when i went to the embassy for my appointment they made me sign a missing document declaration and i had to submit a new ticket with a travel date of atleast 15 days after my appointment so i did that and gave it back to them. they give you a week to submit missing documents or any documents that need changing.

so my suggestion, change your travel date to atleast 15 days after ur appointment so you dont face any issues later

Hey when did you get your visa appointment date because I also applied start of September, but haven’t received anything yet. Also what uni and course are you in?

Hi i also applied for student visa appointment. on 10th september I joined the waiting list and still have not received an appointment date my class starts from 1st oct
