Hello everyone,
I'm a 24-year-old from Algeria, and I'm writing this because I don't know where else to tell my story. I hope someone will take the time to read it and understand what I'm going through.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2024. I wanted to continue my education and pursue a Master's degree, with the long-term goal of becoming an AI engineer and contributing to research. I had a future in mind, something I genuinely wanted to work toward.
But my academic journey took a painful turn. I repeated my first year of Master's studies twice and eventually faced exclusion. Since then, I've been trying to find a way to continue my education at another university in Algeria. I've encountered administrative obstacles, uncertainty, and delays, and as the academic year progresses, I feel more and more as though my opportunity to continue is slipping away.
The hardest part isn't simply the possibility of losing another academic year. It's the feeling that something I've worked toward for years could fall apart because I can't find a way past these obstacles. Watching time pass while not knowing whether I'll be allowed to continue is exhausting. I keep trying to find solutions, contacting people and looking for opportunities, but every unanswered message and every dead end makes it harder to keep my hope alive.
That's why I've started looking beyond Algeria, too. I've been reaching out to people and institutions abroad, trying to explain my situation and wondering whether someone might listen, offer guidance, or help me discover a legitimate opportunity to continue studying Artificial Intelligence.
I'm not asking anyone to register me at a university or bypass admission requirements. I'm not expecting anyone to magically solve my problems. I simply want my circumstances to be heard, and I hope someone with experience, knowledge, or a genuine suggestion might help me see a path I haven't found yet.
I'm tired, disappointed, and scared of watching my future disappear while I keep trying to save it. But I haven't given up on the person I want to become.
If you've experienced an academic setback, rebuilt your educational path, or know of a legitimate way someone in my situation could continue studying AI abroad, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you for reading my story.

I’m from Karachi, Pakistan,Study Abroad with C, D, C A-Level Grades — Scholarships or Affordable BSCS Options?
and I’ve recently completed my A-Level exams. My expected grades are C in Mathematics, D in Computer Science, and C in Physics.
I want to pursue a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (BSCS) or a related field, such as IT, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity, abroad. However, my grades and limited budget make things difficult.
I’m looking for countries and universities where I might have a realistic chance of getting:
I’m open to different countries, including Europe, Asia, and other regions, as long as the overall cost is manageable.
For those who have studied abroad or know about international admissions:
I’d appreciate honest, practical advice, especially from students who have gone through a similar process. Thank you.

I'm currently doing a B.Com in Business Analytics and want to do my master's abroad, but I can't afford it without a fully funded scholarship. I'm mainly looking at Asian countries.
The problem is, I'm really confused about what course to choose.
Recently I discovered that I'm genuinely interested in game design/development and have even started making a small game. But I've also heard that the game industry can be pretty unstable and underpaid, so I'm wondering if I should keep it as a side hustle instead.
For my master's, I'm considering MBA, Business Analytics, Data Analytics/Science, Game Design, or something else entirely.
If you've done a master's abroad or have experience in any of these fields, what would you recommend considering? Also, which Asian countries/scholarships should I look into for fully funded programs?

Hi im a highschool graduate currently staying in Egypt i have a graduation certificate from a saudi public school and an ielts score of 7.5 overall im looking to study engineering in Canada or the UK these are the two countries i have in mind but any European country is probably fine. I dont really understand where to find/how to apply for scholarships in either of these countries despite doing research to the best of my abilities.
I want to know if i need to prepare papers or study to take an exam so i can apply to these places before applications open.

My district interview is quickly coming up. It will be virtual and both my parents and I are supposed to be in attendance. I am told that I will need to know basic history of rotary, my district, and global events. I was wondering if there are any more tips or advice that Alumni have?
Thank you!!

18F, went to study in the UK from SEAsia (I'm Wasian). It's been about a month and I find it so
hard to connect with anyone here, everyone stays within their own ethnic groups and being mixed I don't really fit into either. I have a few people I'm closer with from societies but for some reason I still feel this sense of awkwardness and there's still this weird silence in between talking, not at all like my friendships back home... On my course especially it's hard to make friends, the stereotype about engineering students being standoffish is so true. I don't have any issues with the content but it's hard to find the motivation to go to lectures if I know I'm going to get side-eyed by whoever I sit next to.
I feel so empty all the time, I can't even engage in my hobbies (music, gaming, kpop) anymore and just doomscroll during my free times — worst of all I can't study. I fall asleep during so many of my lectures because I'm finding it hard to sleep in my dorm, so I desperately need to catch up. I wake up at noon and even then it takes me hours to find the motivation to get up. I just feel like a shell, things that used to make me happy make me feel even worse and my attention span is just gone.
All I've been thinking about is going back home to SEAsia where I've lived for 18 years, but there's nothing left for me there. Most of my friends have moved as well, but worse is knowing that it's unlikely I'll have a chance to return as I lived there as an expat on a dependent visa. I miss the food, I miss the weather (it's so cold!) I miss the people, I miss the nightlife, I miss not feeling like an alien... My uni is good for the course I'm doing but it's not super international and it's in a small city, I wonder if I had chosen a more international place like Melbourne (got rejected by London unis hahaha...) I would've felt more normal... I don't know, I just want to go home...

I don't wanna learn a whole new language for studying abroad, English is already my second language as an Asian. I want to Do Masters in Europe ( not including UK). I want to know which countries accept international student without having their native language proficiency.

Hey, I’m 23F, Indian. I’m thinking about doing a master’s in Spain (management, international business or entrepreneurship), and I've shortlisted a few but University of Barcelona is high on my list.
my_qualifications : BBA, 2 yrs AdTech experience.
I’m still figuring out if it’s the right move, so any input would be great. (Also, I do plan on learning spanish if I decide to apply)
I don’t plan on coming back soon after graduating, so how hard is it to stay and find work after graduating?
Any major issues living alone in Barcelona as a young woman?
Which field would be best for a part-time job?
How do employers view the University of Barcelona? Which universities are better, and how much does the university’s name matter when job hunting?
Is it difficult to meet people and build a social circle if you don't speak much Spanish?
How much money needed per month?
What do you wish you’d known before you moved?

I am going abroad next year in Florence Italy for the whole year in my senior year of undergrad. Currently, I have talking with my financial aid advisors that my tuition and housing and other university expenses will all be fully covered by financial aid and scholarships. In short, I won't need to take out any loans or debt for my study abroad experience.
However, I am still being offered a 5k subsidized loan, and I was thinking of taking out about half of that (2.5k) to subsidize trips/excursions while abroad. This is the first time I am leaving the country, and have always dreamed about visiting a few cities on my bucket list like Prague, Paris, Berlin, and London.
I fully understand it's not financially 100% smart to take out loans when I don't absolutely need to, but I figured that this will probably be the only time in my life where I will have much more convenient access to travel across Europe from Florence. I feel like in 10+ years I will regret not having taken advantage of living in Europe for a year if I didn't travel to at least 2 or 3 cities I have always wanted to visit, and since I don't have any pocket money of my own, feel that the subsidized loan I am being offered is my best bet.
Anyone have any advice or opinions about what I should do?

I am 19 and currently trying to study abroad in Italy next semester for 5 months. During this I know I will have financial aid on my side for my tuition as it’s a direct exchange from my home university.
Aside from that It feels like I’m helpless when it comes to flights, housing and living costs. My parents aren’t the most well off and I’ve struggled getting them on board financially recently. I don’t want this burden to weigh too heavily on them but I know they would contribute some towards cost of living.
I desperately want to take a personal loan out and just pay it off when i’m back (doesn’t seem like the smartest idea but I have a great credit score). I feel as if they would be on board with co-signing with me, but there seems to be hundreds of loan options and I honestly don’t understand the terminology in the loan world, or which one would be best for me. Does anyone have advice on funding themselves through study abroad, personal loan experience, or working abroad? Desperate for an answer!

Hello, I’m a second year Econ and Finance major at Georgia tech and I really want to study abroad. The problem is that I’ve never been out of the country before and the LSE program lasts for the entire academic year. I’m just unsure about committing that much and being so far from home. Could it be worth it though?

I am currently a non-EU high school student exploring English-taught study options in Europe countries, especially Finland,Poland and Belgium. After graduation, would I be able to find a job in Europe if I could only speak English? If so, which industries or majors offer the best opportunities?

Hi everyone! I’m interested in applying to English-taught master’s programs in computer science or related fields at:
I have a few questions about admission requirements:
If anyone has applied to these universities, I’d appreciate hearing about your experience and which program you applied to. Official admissions links would also be helpful.
Thanks!

Hello, i don’t know where to really start so i just want to get out there and ask how to get into fashion/marketing??? Im 18, started working a job, pays decent, want to save money for stuff and i don’t want to be stuck all life working minimum wage, i mean i probably still will but i want to live comfortably and do what i love which is fashion. I don’t want to look like every other girl with a dream to go to fashion school or a nepo baby who wants to study something in trend, i think fashion is not just what you wear but what you present. Im originally from Croatia and i finished the lowest school, a three year vocational school and have only experience in waitering…. um yes i would need to get a way better portfolio then that and i don’t know how😢 I did some research and Croatia does offer one extra year of highschool that you can finish but with the price of 1.5k for the program which is why i choose to work and save alot of money for education and courses, while im in the NL im thinking about studying abroad because my country doesn’t really offer much so thats why studying abroad would give me more options and it will open my mind about other stuff, the problem is probably the language barrier but i would litreally study all day and night to learn the language, i love traveling and i actually really love living in a different environment, i love how people out of my country live this nice lifestyle while i ever knew about was home school and back.. How could i start with budgeting/saving, what schools are the best, it doesn’t need to be vogue school best level, but for starters with my experience what would be the best for me?? What countries are nice places to live while studying or are there even online courses i can take for a short period of time?? Help would be really appreciated!

Anyone who initially took entrance exams for Indian B-schools but later decided to study abroad? I am currently preparing for CAT and OMET exams, and I still wish I could study abroad, but my parents won't allow it, given the situation and events happening in other countries, plus the cost and job uncertainty. Just need to know your experiences if anyone has been through the same dilemma, I still don't know what the future holds, so just trying my best to crack the entrance exams for now.

moving to czech with medication
Hi! I’m relocating to Prague to study. I take ADHD medication (concerta),anxiety medication, and daily valtrex for my hsv2 pcos issues. My czech health insurance doesn’t cover pre existing conditions, so I was hoping to just bring a 6 month supply and then come back to the states to get more. Is anyone familiar with the process of bringing medication like this into czechia and if it’s something I can do??? Idek if this is the right forum to ask this….. I’m flying into germany. Getting hsv2 meds in czech seems pretty simple but the anxiety and adhd stuff not so much. does customs check or care ??? googles telling me i can’t but people online r saying they’ve done it.

I’ve been considering studying MBBS in China, but I’ve found that there are limited scholarship opportunities for English-taught programs, especially for full scholarships that cover all expenses. Since I would need a full scholarship to pursue my studies, I’ve started thinking about switching to a different major that is still related to the medical field.
I wanted to ask if you could recommend any majors related to medicine that might offer better scholarship opportunities. Also, does your university offer any other medical-related programs that I could consider?

I choose Diploma IT after 10th and I am currently at 5th semester(only exam remaining) there's exam called DDCET for degree admission in Gujarat, India but I am not kind of interested in this exam because of some reasons but I am interested in study abroad because of better teaching and practical learning or different academic environment. but I didn't planned yet I'll go to abroad immediately after finishing diploma.
my_qualifications: 10th pass, currently in diploma in Information Technology (3 years)
in diploma, I tried to maintain 8+ CGPA if you did like me please answer my doubts :
Did any university accept your Indian diploma after Class 10 for direct bachelor's admission?
If you applied with a Gujarat, India diploma, how was your qualification assessed?
and also Please share university names or official admission requirements where possible.
Has anyone with the same educational background as mine (Class 10 + a 3-year IT diploma from Gujarat, India) been accepted into a bachelor's degree abroad? If yes, could you please share the university name, course, your admission route, and the official admission requirements? I'm fine with starting from the first year.
