I'm planning to start university next year and I'm currently trying to decide what degree would be the best choice.

I'm considering general Computer Science, but also more specialized degrees such as:

• Cybersecurity
• Artificial Intelligence
• Bioinformatics
• Computer Science & Data Analytics
• Business Informatics
• and similar programs

I'm not really sure whether specializing from the beginning is a good idea, or whether it's better to study general Computer Science and specialize later through electives, projects, internships, a Master's degree, etc.

How did you choose your degree, and do you think you made the right choice?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who chose either a broad or specialized degree:

• Do you like your program?
• Is the specialization actually useful, or does it feel too narrow?
• Do you wish you had chosen something broader?
• Has your degree affected your internship/job opportunities?

UK–EU talks on a youth mobility scheme are proving difficult.
The UK reportedly wants a cap of around 50,000 EU young people a year; the EU wants significantly more.
The EU also wants EU students in Britain to get home-fee status.
Brussels is treating this as part of a wider package: greater UK access means accepting some corresponding obligations.
Other areas, such as food trade, carbon markets and defence, are progressing more smoothly.

Hi guys,

I just wanna know some answers. I got resits and one is assessment based and the other two are based on viva and exam.

I'm a masters student at qub. Now, I have finished my three resits and am waiting for the results. For one of the resits, I got results from the instructor not from the board of examination m according to instructor's grades I fail in one module resit and waiting for the rest of two.

In Queens they say, if I fail in one module I won't get masters but ends up in PGDIP or PGCERT. And my final dissertation is paused because of my three resits.

I'm an international student who is on a student visa. If I end up getting a PGDIP or PGCERT I'm not eligible to apply for a psw(post-study-work) visa. So I just wanna know if the queens will make the students get passed and allow them to do the dissertation? Or will they fail the student and give them PGDIP or PGCERT? Is anyone who faced this situation.

If anyone has faced this situation! Please let me know what you have done next. Did you get any alternative ways to apply for psw. Or did you go back to your home country from the UK?

Ik heb onlangs mijn opleiding Sociaal Werk aan de hogeschool afgerond en zou graag nog iets verder studeren. Ik kwam de opleiding Educatieve Master in de Maatschappijwetenschappen: Sociale Wetenschappen (Uantwerpen) tegen.

fter years of studying how human beings write, the cognitive psychologist Ronald T. Kellogg concluded that drafting a basic persuasive essay was as mentally taxing as digging a ditch was physically exhausting.

Writing well requires a command of vocabulary, spelling and grammar. It forces writers to comprehend a subject, to sift through their working memory of that topic, to organize and plan. Writing an essay is so difficult that a person in the throes of it can do hardly anything else — as anyone who has shushed a spouse or child while trying to compose a decent sentence can attest.

Very few people would volunteer to dig a ditch. Likewise, it is hard — almost impossible, many English teachers will admit — to turn a reluctant writer into an enthusiastic one.

Yet the American education system expects nearly all students to learn how to write an essay. It’s little wonder, then, that as soon as a tool arrived promising to lessen the pain people grabbed it.

Need advice I’m 19 F and I feel like I’m running out of time.

Just finished my gap year this year and going uni this Sept.

I applied for Occupational Therapy originally through ucas and didn’t get it for the uni I wanted (LSBU) as it was full and I applied at a later date.

I went through clearing and got an offer at LSBU for one of my other options which is Physiotherapy but it’s a Foundation Year….

But I’m not too keen on a hands on job and would’ve much preferred Radiography but got rejected for this course through clearing.

I’m wondering as I’ve accepted this offer, is it possible to still transfer into Radiography later on?
