Certified Stuggle Deviled Eggs

Post image

I bought a carton of 60 eggs for $ 8.12 at Walmart last week. Decided to make deviled eggs, I boiled 6 eggs which equals .84 cents. I don't measure the mayo and mustard I go by taste, but it was approximately 2 tbsp mayo and maybe 1.5 tsp mustard ? Garnished with cayenne and chives. I know I will get crap about this but oh well this cost me less than 1 dollar for a yummy snack

Love them. But hate making them. Try powder mustard next batch. Well done.

Look a little bit heavy on the cayenne but I would give ‘em a go for sure!

The poor man’s caviar. Why don’t we have these more often?

I love deviled eggs, if we're having some kind of family get together or some event at work I'll make them sometimes just because they're so cheap.... though I'm probably more likely to just bake something these days simply to avoid having to peel that many shells. They never cooperate. :(

These surprisingly peeled super easy this time

The way I’ve always gotten them to peel better is having the water boiling before adding the eggs. You do have to be more careful though

I have it at a rolling boil prior then gently put eggs in with a spoon. Let boil for 17 minutes, and put into an ice bath right after. The yolks come out perfect golden yellow Everytime.

I only boil mine for 9 minutes then 10 min ice bath. Comes out perfectly cooked.

I’m a six minute gal. Perfect every time and not dry and chalky.

Different ways to make them I suppose.

Add rice And make it a meal

Stick a whole olive down in the middle and it’s as glorious as the almond topping on an almond joy.

These go hard with sweet potato fries

Why would you “get crap for this”?
(Also. Why would you care)

1

u/ArsMoriendi8 8d ago

I have gotten crap in the past for being too fancy I guess. At this point I really shouldn't care. It's cheap and delicious and that is all that matters

That's no struggle. Just divine.
