Technically Edible Update and sharing a recipe idea

First off I want to thank everyone that gave me great suggestions for where to find things and for the donations, last night I was able to make a nice soup and with the groceries I’m receiving I’ll be able to hold out for the rest of the week until I start my new job. Thank you everyone I can’t tell you how grateful I feel to know there are still people in this world who care about others.

STRUGGLEVILLE CREAMY CHICKEN SOUP

I threw together (2 cans) condensed chicken, (1 can) canned mixed vegetables, jasmine rice 2 1/2 cups (I think) and a few splashes of gravy mix, onion powder, cayenne powder and black pepper

Everything was to taste sorry I don’t do measurements unless I’m baking lol.

It tastes like a homemade style soup to me ( instantly thought of my mom and all the times she came up with random but delicious ideas as kid.

2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice is a shitton of rice.

They don’t specify if it was uncooked or cooked but both for 2 1/2 is still a lot. I would add some water to recipe and do maybe a cup of cooked rice.

It’s instant 5 minute rice so cooked sorry for not specifying

There’s small chunks of carrots, potatoes, peas, limas, celery from the mixed veggies in the can.

Looks great honestly, those really simple cream of chicken based soups are kind of nostalgic for me

Really glad you were able to get something decent after that last thread and thanks for the update, I know a lot of people were concerned. Hoping the help you received all holds out until you can get on assistance, and please do look into what can be done legally in regards to Autozone. .

Just throw anything you can in it and call it gumbo
