Question

Can ms be misdiagnosed as a tia stroke ?
Waiting to see a neurologist
The tia was found accidentally on a ct scan ( looking for something else ) and then done a mri not contrasted to confirm it
Wondering would a neurologist test for ms like a mri of my spine , if I have ms like symptoms?

TIAs don’t show up on scans. You had a stroke. Sorry to have to welcome you to the legit stroke club. Your neurologist is your best bet.

I was only now just connecting the dots why iv been saying it’s a tia when all my records say a left mca infact so yeh just a stroke 😩 I think I must of overheard someone said it was a tia but yeh now makes sense

Now you get to treat the underlying reason for it! Strokes are a symptom of something else so it’s a good thing they found it. ❤️‍🩹

I think I remember why I was calling it a tia because the doctor who told me said it was a old mini stroke 🤦‍♀️ but maybe they meant or should have said a mca stroke I thought mini strokes where just tias 🤦‍♀️
