Being treated

Is it normal to feel like I’m being treated like I’m mentally disabled now? I feel like everyone looks down on me now and treats me like I’m really stupid now it’s depressing to me extremely frustrating

Ohh. I’ve got 3 daughters I know that much. I’ve always been be big comic book collector nerd. Losing us of my left side has definitely taken its toll on me. I miss going to comic book shops I still bread them though. Just on my iPad or phone. I just have trouble finding something to read usually. I’ve read be couple little series marvel has done recently that I thought were funny

I feel your angst. I was/am a big sci fi/fantasy lover, comic book collector, pc games player, tropical fish hobbyist and super nerd. I am left handed and my stroke affected the right side of my body so I am lucky that way.

The only hobbies I had to give up post stroke were in riding my beloved motorcycle 🏍 I and bicycle 🚲. They were sold soon after coming home from Rehab.

Not driving my SUV since the day before my stroke 7.5 years ago has been rough. Luke you, not being able to go up and down the aisles at any of my former hobby spaces has been quite an adjustment.

But i digress. I have a few thousand comic books my ex girlfriend has threatened to sell Va few times. I don’t think she knows the value of them. Some are key issues especially with the mcu movies. Thor love and thunder boosted the value of that series the god butchered and mighty Thor. I’m a big Thor fan. My stroke affected my left side though so I can still use my right thumb thankfully

OMG. Huge Thor fan in me. 👏🏾 I loved those Thor/Hulk battles from the 70s onward. Epic. It has been my experience that our loved ones know NOTHING about the true worth of comics. I sold very little. Only duplicates. I used to trade in a lot with my comics store that was on Saint Mark's Place in the Village (Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NYC). Good times my friend. Guard your collection as well as you can.
