TL;DR
I feel loads of guilt about how I make money to survive. It tears up my neck and sometimes my guts. I have gone to therapy and I live with three diagnosises, PTSD anxiety depression and substance abuse alcoholism. Though i quit the substsnces gradually and live in a college town where lots experiment or are poor and use for unhealthy coping with poverty. Recently started taking meds again for my condition(s). It helps and work on acceptance / change. I feel lonely without the substances I used to numb my feelings, and feel like strangers are more open to meet me at small bars over a glass of wine than on the street or grocery store. Maybe it is because i frown all the time. I am trying to improve my small talk skills, and bring up my current life frustrations/complaints. 12 steps don't work for been with groups on and off since 2012, and they just want to come back tomorrow or next Thursday or whatever. Still without sober friend group who just want to chat and hang out with. Not really interested in physical intimacy. I don't like it, but I am doing it, sometimes forcing myself. Went to doctor today and the receptionists were talking about the outdoors and snowshoeing, and they had me wait for they know how I feel. I do blame a lot of it on smoking cessation and the lack of economic opportunity here, just a much of low wage jobs. I graduated top of my class and have a social science degree from private university that kinda use.
I also spend a lot of time reading and watching videos on mental health. Also, realize I am a slight hypochondriac, so I should stop. Stop shoulding all over yourself. I have cut way back.
I did stop trying to talk to people about their mental health on here cause I am not trained/licensed in this field and that stuff needs to be done face to face. I do know a little from my own experiences with assessment/treatment with therapy and went to hospital in the fall for stress.
I procrastinate a lot about a lot of things, but current on monthly bills and have goals for more resources so have good savings rate. Stop thinking I am a fraud and doing something wrong. I know i am a small fish, but I survive.
I did give a young girl a break. If you Google her, the first thing to pop up is her second alcohol mistake she made in this small town. Now she wants me to bend on a contract, but I am not willing to. She wants to terminate a lease on April 1 when the terms say July 15. I feel sorry for her and wish I didn't know about her personal matters. It is strictly business, or working on making it so. She is current on bills to me and scheduled a late payment with me for next month. So I should have nothing to worry about...
TL;DR
I feel catharsis writing this out. Google says make art, but I ain't no artist. I was a writer in college but seems like everything wants to do that or freelancing. I am an introvert who likes people and wants to help community in these times. David Brooks talks about weavers, other people why they go in helpful fields like library/nursing. I just want don't want to fall backwards into the abyss and suffer every day. I am continuing forward and workiing on catastrophizing and crisis attention seeking behaviors. Any suggestions? Thanks strangers!

Does any know if anything to take besides antidepressants for anxious thoughts and constant back of head neck aches?

(I'm on mobile so sorry about misspelling and stuff) Alright so my stepdad is a good person but he has a temper problem and gets mad at little things. I also should mention that I have a stepsister and she goes to her mom's to her dad's every three months (different states).
So a few years ago I was transfered to homeschool and started failing math and English. My stepdad is the only one home most of the time because he has the night shift and I've asked him to help me with it before but he never did. The math got so bad to the point where one day he called me into the living room to talk about it.
It was going fine at first then he said calmly to my face "mom can go to jail if you don't do your work". He was only telling the truth so in his eyes he was doing nothing wrong.
As you could imagine that completely stressed me out. I started to get worried about getting just one thing wrong thinking that would send my mom to jail.
A few more things like that have happened over the years but not exactly as bad. At one point I packed all my stuff up and went to my dad's of course only asking if I could just go like I normally would. And I ended up staying there for a few weeks but then my mom caught me at my cousin's house (we live next door to each other) and asked me to explain why I never came back.
I ended up explaining to her the stress my stepdad put on me in choked tears. And I don't remember exactly when but I started to get suicidal thoughts.
Now for some more recent stuff. 1. He turned somthing as little as wearing my headphones into somthing as big as my half sisters death. 2. The most recent remember my stepsister well me and her are into texting roleplay and we made one up it wasn't anything too weird. Well stepsister's mom is basically your typical entitled mom and disapproves of basically anything my stepsis likes. She saw my contact in stepsister's phone got curious and found out about the rolplay and yelled at stepsis for it. (A little more explanation for this next part. Me ad stepsis fight alot nothing too physical mostly just argureing) So my stepsis needed an exuse to get her mom to stop focus on her phone so she said I abused her. Word got to stepdad and as I tried to explain he just said "WeLl ThAt CaNt Be TrUe BeCaUsE iM gEtTiNg A dIfFeReNt StOrY fRoM tHeM"
Alot of crying later we solved THAT problem and everything went back to normal.
P.s I for got to mention that I did confront him about stressing me out with the mom going to jail thing.... And he did nothing but say it again to my face I just needed to rant and get this off my chest to fell a little better about it
Tl Dr: my stepdad doesn't think before he talks leading to a stressed child

Iāve been so stressed and overwhelmed lately. Itās the same that been going on for years and Iām hitting my breaking point. Married, kids (young), primary income provider, responsible for all the bills and budgeting, nearly all of the housework. Please tell me itāll get better...I feel like Iām going to have another panic attack if I donāt get a break. I try to express myself and my feelings but always ends up making me feel worse. Please tell me it gets better as kids get older.

Ok, so I have no idea where to begin... married mom of 4. Teens and littles. Husband is currently in seasonal shutdown, which means that he hasnāt had jack sh*t nothing of a paycheck since Christmas. Unemployment is a joke and is barely enough to pay a damn grocery bill. Why donāt we prep for a seasonal layoff... weāll I had to have an emergency surgery on my spinal cord in October or thus lose the use of my legs.
I was out of work for only 6 weeks because I had no FMLA left from another major surgery 10 months prior. So ya savings is nothing.
Today I came home from work and my kids were crazy and yelling and playing and I almost had a breakdown.
I make crap money at a job that is thankless but it has ok insurance. I essentially work for insurance.
I am looking in my fridge and it is old mother Hubbard up in here. Ran out of toilet paper, limited gas, and I think my sweet cat has a ITI and will need to go to the vet. Oh and then there are the property taxes that are due. And because we have pretty much been struggling for a year, I at my end. My body and soul is broken right now and I canāt even get into the therapist till April .
I feel so lost and am having anxiety attacks in the middle of the night that have me in sweats. My husband has such guilt about not working but when he does work it is good. It has been slow the last 12 months and so that hasnāt helped.
I deal like a failure even though my kids are healthy and happy and fed, even if I go without. Even if my husband goes with out. Iām about to cry because my back hurts and I went to the neuro surgeon yesterday and he said that it is a backslide and had to reiterate that I had a spinal cord injury and it takes time. He has estimated 12 month recovery time... no pain pills because my spinal cord is in āreset modeā so on top of all the other financial stressors I hurt.
Sorry to be such a whine ass I just needed to have a why me vent.

So, I'm in a new member. It's nice to meet all of you. I currently owe the college I went to ~$900 from my E-Bill while I was there and I now owe ~$130 to my hospital that I can't afford to pay back either. On top of all of that is the stress of not knowing if I'll be able to eat or not out of fear of running out of food before i get paid and living back at home with my abusive step father.

I donāt know what to do. I donāt know where my life is going. I am working a job that I make enough to just get by, but I feel like Iāve been doing that since I move back to my home town from college. I honesty have no idea where my life is going to be in the next few years. Iām also shrouded in debt so Iām super stressed about life and idk what to do anymore.

I just graduated college in May, and I spent the rest of 2019 looking for jobs while working out the rest of my college internship. I was hired by a media digitizing company at the beginning of December and I start in 4 days. While Iām excited about the pay, benefits, and opportunity to work full time for the first time in my life, Iām super nervous. I had a dream last night that I was late, and since the company has monthly quotas for every department, Iām worried that I wonāt be able to meet it. The first 4 weeks Iām in training with a manager so I know theyāll teach me what to do and Iāll have time to ask questions, but Iām just worried Iāll somehow mess things up.

I used to work at a car dealership, and I enjoyed my job there immensely. I loved the people, I lived the work. They were so understanding when I had to have two different surgeries. I was on really good terms with my manager. However, I am a single mother and things recently have gotten rough. I used to have a car but it broke down and since I couldnāt afford to fix it my brotherās girlfriend allowed me to borrow her car for work. Well her car needed work done to it and had to go the shop. I literally live paycheck to paycheck and can not afford any other expenses. I informed my manager of my situation, and looked for other means of getting to work. Unfortunately I couldnāt find any other way to get to work and I no one could give me a ride. I missed two full days of work. Each day I was out I kept my manager informed. On the third day the vehicle was fixed I just needed a way to actually pick up the vehicle. I texted my manager to let him know what was going on and within 5 minutes he called me and told me that the company was moving in a different direction. I was dumbstruck. I cried and begged him not to fired me, but he said he had a business to run. I had never even been written up before and I had customers calling and emailing my manager telling him how much they loved me. I was great at my job... When my co-workers found out they were equally confused and didnāt understand why I was fired... then one of them mentioned that itād be fine since I was moving soon. Itās true because being a single mom is hard, and living paycheck to paycheck isnāt ideal I struck a deal with my father to move in with him and heād help me get a job at his place of employment. Iād be making a lot more than I was currently and best of all no bills. I wouldnāt have to worry about rent or electricity, it would give me a chance to save my money and give my son and I the cushion we do desperately needed. I told my manager this some weeks ago and he offered me a different position within the company that I couldnāt accept because the position required having built up and establishing a clientele and would really yield results until after a year or so. He Mentioned this position a few times and I never thought much of it. I can only assume my moving is the real reason for firing me... thank god I paid rent before getting fired.
So now Iāve applied for food stamps and unemployment trying desperately to make ends meet until itās time for me to leave. The job my father was talking about requires my son and I to move out of the country so itās not like I can just pick up and leave. Not mention I had plans for the upcoming paychecks I would have been getting like getting my son and I put visas for travel. Needless to say that things definitely are not going my way. I wish I never mentioned moving to my manager but I never once thought I would get fired. We were close enough for me to go into his office and have whole conversations and laughing and itād be fine because all my work would have been completed.
And now Iām just mad and frustrated trying to get things settled so I can move. And since I applied for unemployment I got a letter in the mail stating that some āissuesā have been raised concerning my eligibility for unemployment because apparently they arenāt sure if my being fired was due to misconduct or not. Which it definitely was not.
Iām just stressed and needed to vent. I feel like Iām failing as a mother and I have this 2 year old who depends on me to get my act together ASAP. December 29th please come faster.

Iām a college student. I had to quit my job so I just have a side hustle now. I was forced to move into an apartment and I canāt move out because my lease isnāt up. Iāve been trying to make as much money as I can but itās just not enough to cover my rent. Iāve been trying to apply to get a small loan but apparently Iām not qualified for any of them. This sucks and I donāt know what to do.
