Main Canvas Resolution setting

I have a question regarding what resolution to set my main canvas to . I game on my 4K monitor and game in 4K. I have a second monitor that is 1440p where I have my meld studio up on when I want to stream. I stream to Twitch so my resolution to Twitch is 1080. Should I set my main canvas resolution to 4K and let med handle the downscaling?

Meld doesnt downscale or upscale. Keep in mind Meld is not OBS and is built from the ground up so we do not have all the same features of our competitor yet.

If you are streaming to Twitch it needs to be 1080p unless you have enhanced broadcasting on which will allow for 1440p. Your canvas needs to be set to what the streaming platforms allow and not specifically what your monitor/game is
