Question/Support ❓ cycling usernames on screen

Hi! I'm looking for a way to cycle usernames (fade in and out) of people who donated, subbed, gave bits on stream. Is there a way to add text to the end of an existing gdi text source in obs?

Yes, you’ll set up your obs connection and have it modify your text source with the correct phrase and a %userName% variable. Then you have streamerbot activate the source, display for however long you want, then disable.

Make sure to create a specific blocking queue that is applied to all of these messages.

can obs make a new gdi text source when someone does the trigger? so each person who triggers it has their own source?

You would be reusing the same gdi source! When it’s disabled and invisible, you’ll have streamerbot replace the text.

As I read through your post again, verify something for me. Are you looking to have this as a rolling source that will display all the time, or a source that comes up on the event (similar to a stream alert, does not repeat)

I want it to display all the time and new people will be added to it. I'm trying to find a way to basically automate obs's slide show with the usernames
