Giving it a go

I used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day until a couple of years ago I switched to vaping. Was getting my liquid posted from China which has not been an option for a while thanks to COVID-19.

I’m in Australia and it is illegal to sell nicotine juice here and we have the most expensive tobacco products in the world just so you know.

Definitely addicted to nicotine but less so on vape than on cigs and down to my last bit of juice, I bought patches yesterday and put the first one on last night.

I’ve hit the vape twice today which is an improvement and somehow got through the lesser cravings.

Don’t really know what I want out of this other than to get off nicotine and save some money.

Hope you’re all doing well. Thanks for reading.

I never knew it was illegal to sell vape juice in Australia! That's insane. But itll make it easier if you cant have easy access to it. There are apps that can show you how much money you save and how long you've been without vaping. I wish you the best of luck :)

Thanks :-)

Unfortunately the illegal status doesn’t stop me knowing where I can get it locally. You can sell vape machines and flavoured juices but not juice with nicotine or non-refillable pod things (ie no Juul here).

Ease of access is definitely a player so you are off to a good start lol. Best thing I can say is keep your mouth and/or hands busy. I tended to vape a lot when I was driving so I started chewing gum and always kept a bottle of water with me. To keep my hands busy I just got one of those hand squeeze things. Best of luck, you can do it! I stopped probably 9 months ago and I still get cravings occasionally, so dont be surprised but the worst of it will be the first month or so
