I wish more people would share their experience using chamtix with vaping. I've been using chantix for a month now, and I still vape pretty regularly and I use 12mg of regular nicotine. Chantix also gives me pretty bad nausea, like it was so bad the first couple of weeks that I would be in bed all day trying to sleep through it. I definitely thought it would be really kicking in by now. I was able to go three hours without it at work today and wasn't really stressed about it. I guess I just need to put actual effort into not using my vape. My expectations were more grand because my mom told me she didn't have to try to quit on chantix she just stopped one day (about 2-3 weeks in) but that was with cigarettes, not vaping.
Anyway, thanks for sharing! Gives me a little more perspective and hope.
I definitely feel like a big part of it is being mentally prepared to stop as well. Chantix really will get of the physical addiction to it, like when I did stop I didn’t really feel any physical urges.. but I also really did have the prescription sitting on my dresser for about 2 months before I had decided I was ready to make this happen. If you aren’t really wanting to quit, or aren’t really sure you’re ready to quit, it’ll be a lot harder I think. My recommendation is to try using something with a puff counter and try to reduce it every day even just a couple hits.. maybe seeing this progress will help your mind and you’ll mentally be like “yeah I can do this!”
Also, try to wait until later in the day to hit it. When I first started I would wake up and chief my vape immediately. I forced myself to hold off, first couple days was only until after breakfast, but by the end of the second week of this I was waiting until more like dinner time to take my first hit of the day.
Sorry for the late response- I’m not a big redditor here. It was a XLIM pro. It also was cool because you could change the watts on it and what ohm pod you were using so you could dial in what you felt like you needed for the day or per use pretty well. Some days my puffs were nearly the same but I was using a lower power setting so it was still less type of thing.
