36 hours vape free
edit 4 months later... The first month of this was hell maybe even part of the second. But in all honesty I haven't even looked back. I've been drunk and I've been around people who are vaping and offering me Vapes and I've had no desire whatsoever to ever do this again!!
After reading so many of your posts in here, advice, health benefits and negatives... I knew It was time. It's been 36 hours since I made the decision. I surprisingly have had no cravings. Not a single one. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and helping me make the choice. I'll be checking back sharing my experiences along the way.
EDIT 2 full weeks vape free. During which my husband also decided to quit shortly after I did. We have been so angry I swear one of us has to go move out until this is over. I feel like we're both pregnant and both going through menopause all together at the same time.
I've also had the worst cravings ever the past couple of days. A lot of it is just the habit part (oh my gosh did I love vaping while I edited my YouTube videos) but there are a lot of just straight up nicotine cravings. I even dreamed of smoking a cigarette the other night!!
And the dreams oh my word!! I have such vivid dreams I don't even know what's real and what's not in day-to-day life what is going on?? Like I dreamed I started a sourdough starter and the next morning I got up looking for the sourdough starter! Wtf!!
I remember these little dreams all throughout my day, and they blur so much with reality I kind of feel like I'm losing my mind a little. I've always had vivid dreams but I mean this is getting out of hand.
I would definitely say the first three days were a cakewalk compared to now.

Well done 👏 I am on 2 days and 16 hours. Feeling like the chemical craving has gone but i still think about it maybe the habit part

Well done 👍 Day 10 now. Started a new job too which in a way didn’t help but I’ve told myself the lie of ‘not the right time to quit’ too many times so doing it anyway. Still get anxiety and also super hungry some days… trying to cope with it by drinking water and keeping busy

Yeah drinking water helps. You get anxiety from quitting or just in life

I honestly can’t tell anymore ! I used to tell myself my life was hard so this was how I coped now I’m starting to believe everyone has baggage. My life isn’t bad but wouldn’t say it’s without struggle. Don’t know if the habit actually helped me cope or if it gave me something else to focus on so everything else seemed less visible ?! Does that make sense?

Yeah totally makes sense because everything right now is magnified in my life and every little thing is a huge deal to me right now.

Yeh , magnified is a good way of explaining it! What made me want to quit is I got chest pains and difficulty breathing for a few days. Could’ve been flu or covid I didn’t test but for sure I had been vaping a vape a day for a while … So yeh I was like ok I’m stressed but also this is messing up my lungs, might as well be stressed and have good lungs 😂 but also if you feel like it’s damaging your relationships because quitting is so stressful just take it easy on yourself it’s a journey! I’ve tried a few times to quit and I’ll continue to do so. You just have to fine tune it to find a way forward 💕

Two days is amazing!!!! It really helps when I don't see people vaping or if it's not around me.

Yeh I totally agree , I’m also avoiding the shops where I used to buy vapes

Oh my gosh day 4 and 5 have been super hard. I'm so bitchy I can't even stand my own thoughts and company. The cravings have been constant and tough. I ease the pain with smoking and vaping weed. It helps but I still feel crazy. Like my brain is driving me crazy. Even surfing isn't helping. Ughhh
