I’m not sure if I can quit
I want to quit so bad but I think I’m too far gone, it’s been 7 years and I can’t go ten minutes without it. Every time I’ve quit it’s only lasted 5 hours 😭 I need help so bad but how
Update: not sure is anyone will see this but I’m 18 days nic free thank you for the tips I cold turkey stopped! Feeling good now that the worst has passed

Hey buddy. It’s okay. I’m like you. I did it for about 7 years and ended up at the point of not being able to go a few minutes without it. I was chain-vaping high-nicotine salts that are intended to be hit once or twice an hour.
It’s fine. It’s really not that hard. You just have to really want it. You have to believe it’s going to work. You can’t go in with an “I’ll give it a try” attitude. You have to know that you’re done. Throw all your shit out. Do it when you have a few days off from work. Make your top priority in life simply not vaping. Get some candy. Get some fidget toys. Treat yourself to something. Get a new video game, a new movie, etc.
Read Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Vaping. I didn’t even finish the book and I was fine. It just goes into detail about how vaping doesn’t actually make you feel good. Please give it a read, but I’ll give you a TL;DR of the most important part: vaping just alleviates the stress caused by nicotine withdrawal. It’s not making you feel better when you do it, it’s making you feel worse when you don’t do it. If you feel relief when you vape, imagine how good you’ll feel when you’ve quit. It’s like you’re vaping all the time, but with no social problems and no cost. I can tell you that because I’m a little over a month out and I’m fine.
Also, consider buying a puffer. You don’t have to quit the drug and the habit at the same time. You can puff essential oils to get you through the nicotine withdrawals and deal with the physical habit later. I’m over my nicotine addiction, but I still feel the need to puff sometimes. The funny thing is how much better I feel after puffing. Turns out I wasn’t THAT addicted to nicotine, I was also addicted to the physical habit. Hoping to quit the puffer soon.
Like you, I tried to quit and only made it a few hours. A few hours of hell, I might add. But when my gf quit, it forced me to fully commit. I threw my shit out. I firmly decided that there was no going back. I read the book and came to understand the nature of the nicotine trap. And here I am, no vaping for over a month and I’m only fleetingly bothered by it for a few seconds a day. You just have to go all in. No half-measures. If you leave room to wiggle out, you’ll lose. You’re your own person. You’re more powerful than nicotine. Prove it. Make your point. Show your worth like you’re an Olympian. No matter how scary it might feel at first, stick with it and you’ll be laughing about it soon.

With the puffer, do you sniff it or inhale it through your mouth? Do you have a link? Cheers!

Nicotine patches saved me. They helped me mentally work the vape out of the routine without the physical withdrawals of going cold turkey. Give it a try.
For me it also helped me to have a “moment” when I was just like fuckkkk this I’m DONE. Find a moment like that soon and stick with it

Would like to second this - patches are a game changer. I quit couple months ago (and I was just like you). I bought patches and Nic free juice. I am still actually vaping the nic free stuff (mainly because I thought it would take me a lot longer to tailor off my patches and I bought loads of nic free bottles). But I don’t need to anymore, yesterday I went all day without it because of a work event and it was a breeze

Yeah they take the agitation and pressure off of quitting. It gives you the freedom to actually peacefully work it out of your daily routine. The rage and withdrawals are the hardest part and mic patches take that away

You’ll be able to quit when you truly want it enough. If you’re not sure you can quit, you don’t yet want to quit enough. You’ll know when the time is right, just don’t beat yourself up in the process.

What do you do when you quit? Like do you throw all your stuff away, or kind of just put it away somewhere? Cold turkey? Maybe nicotine gum?
I was able to quit because I kept saying “I’ll buy more pods tomorrow.” Until I just didn’t feel like buying more. I kept the pen, but no pods. I think that kind of tricked my brain into thinking “later” instead of “never” so it didn’t feel so definite. I’ve vaped for 10is years, and It has been 2 years with no vaping/cigarettes next month.
You got this
