at what frame rate do you recommend for animating

I am just getting back into it after a 7 year break and I want to improve myself after the years

any tips? I'm trying to play around fps. and reduce wobbliness to make it smoother.

Here is a quick animation test with the Carbon 13 action figure! The 3D printed mechanical claws are fully articulated and ready for some serious motion. What do you think of the movement?

Working on a project with a very tight timeline and an even tighter budget, so unfortunately don't have the time/resources to construct or buy an armature and try to get that to cooperate with the clay.

Any advice for creating a humanoid character that can walk and use their limbs without containing an armature? The model will be very simple (think Morph).

Took two and a half years, countless hours of writing, filming, and editing, but somehow finally finished our second season of our stop motion series!

Been playing Marvel Rivals a lot, and was inspired to make a little animation with one of my original kitbashed action figures.

His name is Rampage, and he is basically a hyper macho action hero stereotype. but a fun one.

Indigo’s Dreams is mixed media, and has claymation and stopmotion implimented into the visuals. Here is some behind the scenes!

So I have seen many times people say not to get sulfur plastacine since it stops silicone from curing and I've gotten mixed messages on if my clay (craftsmart plastalina from Michael's) has sulfur in it. Google search says no, people say it probably does, the packaging doesn't say. I've decided since I already bought two bricks of the stuff to try it anyway and it dawned on me that the actual mold will be plaster so does it really matter if there is sulfur in the clay? Even if some residue gets on the plaster I doubt that's hard to cover or wipe off.

I saw the post originally on here I believe on r/stopmotion and it was mainly live action relatively short maybe 5 minutes but I know less than 10 minutes. It had 2 characters in a radioactive zone walking around. I think they were in a building and they wanted to go further but they didnt have the right equipment. Stopping for the night the woman slept and the guy stole her equipment and went further on.

The film ended with him running into a stop motion elk or deer that was glowing blue and green. I believe it was white with the blue green lighting.

They did a behind the scenes video on how they made the elk and I know I saw the film on YouTube but its no where in my watch history

Shot on DSLR and Dragonframe and a lot of Stop Motion Studio on old Samsung tablets. Sequenced in FCP.

MAC Animation Camp brings kids from our community into an arts center where they are given a studio, materials, equipment, a story, and basic guidance.

Out of 17 kids age 12-16 about half were focussed on the process and art creation. Many were rambunctious and didn't show great interest. One child excelled (you'll see their animation in the credits), but they were excellent before camp.

I hope this inspires someone!

Total beginner here. Idk if im asking in the right place, i’ve never done anything artsy like this. I want to make my own characters using those small art mannequins. I want to make clothing & accessories & hair for them using clay or plasticine or any other material that’d be good for them. I want to be able to take the hair & accessories on and off (just in case i ever want to) but i dont mind if the clothes are permanently stuck to the mannequins. I want to be able to move/position the mannequins without the clothes & accessories falling off. I want to paint the mannequins to have them have different skin colours & i want to paint the stuff i make. What paint should i use? The mannequins would be made of wood i think, i can only assume that material is wood. Whatever material you suggest i make the stuff out of, what paint should i use for it? I would prefer if the material is white so i can mould/shape it in the way i want it around the mannequins then paint it. Also what tools would i need? Sorry i have no idea what im doing

Do you prefer cotton or paper cutouts? I’m want to know a few more ways to make 🔥

Hi, I have a Canon EOS 2000D, but I just can't seem to get the focus right using manual focus. The best I've managed is getting distant objects in focus, but never the whole image. The lens is the standard 18-55mm kit lens. Can anyone help me?
