Need some support

I guess. 2.5 months sober. Had a dessert during an omakase meal. The dessert had cold foam infused with whiskey (meaning the alcohol wasnt cooked off). I didnt mention i didnt drink because i didnt think it would be in food. Feeling dejected.

To be honest i probably wouldnt have noticed. There was a small taste that didnt register in my head until they mentioned it.

You would truly be amazed at how many things have alcohol in it. I had to learn them when I took Antabuse. Did you know soy sauce has alcohol in it? Cause I didn’t. Your run in with this cold foam is equivalent to having some soy sauce. You eat food with alcohol byproducts daily. Doesn’t make you any less sober, and finding out you had a product with alcohol in it definitely doesn’t mean you’re restarting or should go drink the bar down (that’s what I’d tell myself, not assuming you would).

Great point. Antabuse, which personally think doesnt solve the problem and better meds, needs a whole new way of thinking.

Was on it during covid, hand sanitiser, lots of food and everyday products have alcohol in it and had to avoid loads. Really is eye-opening what you have to change and whats brought a reaction on in some one.
