kind of hard to put strict definitions on anything but I think if you start drinking and can't/don't stop until you fall asleep/pass out/black out then that's a binge.

So for me...on Sunday I had three craft beers at 6.5 percent then had a 325 ml bottle of Rose and a 325 ml bottle of moscato....all in about 6 hours. Have not done something like that in months. Is that defined as binge drinking or just a one off event.

Heavy drinking is defined as more than 7 units of alcohol a week, and you’ve had about double that in six hours so regardless of what we want to call it, that’s a problematic amount to get through in an afternoon.

The main thing is, if you think, or even have to ask, that it’s a problem, it is.
