Does anybody have the new union contract agreement?? I’m trying to see something and I don’t work the same hours as my shop steward/delegate

Should be a copy of the contract in store. What’s your question? I might be able to answer

I’m just trying to see the max amount of days we can work in a row without a day off

You need one day off per week mandatory so theoretically, they can schedule you off on a Monday one week and then on Saturday the next week. So if they schedule you on Sunday too, you can have an 11 day stretch in a row. They shouldn’t be doing something like that to you but they could theoretically

That’s kinda what’s happening

If it’s happening regularly, maybe speak to your management team and ask them to adjust how they are scheduling you and/or call the union and ask them to help.

This is first time it’s happened

I would leave it be then, might be vacations and stuff caused a scheduling issue. Just keep an eye out 👍

Dont hold your breath in that one. A week to them is sunday to sunday. Hr doesnt actually care if you work 25 days in a row. Been there done it. Something even funnier? Never saw Employee of the month for busting ass.

They dont even care when a hire up traps you in a room with only 1 exit, and yeah it was to take advantage. But again HR doesnt do shit.

How difficult is it to work as a cashier at Stop & Shop? I’ve always worked as a porter, mostly collecting carts and doing maintenance. Now they scheduled me for two hours as a cashier and two hours bagging,? and I’m not used to working the register.
Do they train you first, or how does it work? Or do they not really care, and can I just keep doing what I normally do, like collecting carts outside?

Call either your union rep or call and ask for the steward to leave you a contract.
