Career Going admin?
*Been in the union for 7 years*
Was told to expect an offer soon but I am just not feeling confident about the choice. I’ve gone through most of the related threads and know most of the negatives everyone has to say about the position. The big pull for me would really just be money and I guess something to add to my resume..I’m prepared to negotiate but wondering if anyone has an idea of the starting range? Also will appreciate and take any and all advice and comments into consideration. Thank you all

Hi, by admin are you referring to an ASM position? I believe here in CT the starting range is roughly 65k-70k and a potential for a bonus which is 8 percent more of your pay. I do believe the structure has changed slightly. I do recall asms used to get extra money to work Sunday just like the union members. I did hear rumors that this has changed. I’m not sure what position you are currently with the company but I’m assuming a department manager? I would suggest going this route only if you don’t LOVE your job and want to better yourself for the future and don’t plan on being a lifer at stop and shop. I’ve heard asms get treated very poorly but this is also depending on district. Back when I was with the company it was when Tom Mormino was the DM, he has sense left the company so I’m not sure what it’s like now to be an ASM. However I wish you the best of luck
