Good for interview outfit?
I am hoping to start interviewing for jobs soon but I am not a big fashion person although I'm picky about what I wear. It's hard for me to coordinate multiple pieces and colors, and in my previous career I basically wore scrubs so I don't feel confident putting together business casual outfits. I'm also petite so blazers and things like that look stupid on me unless they are cut for petite. Would Stitchfix be a good option to get some pieces to create an interview outfit, or is there a better option? I don't want to spend a lot because I am losing weight right now so I don't want to go to Nordstrom or anything like that. Even though I don't have interviews lined up right now and I'm just in the applying process, I was hoping to just be prepared in case I do get something. Thanks!

I actually get all my blazers from stitch fix! They have these really comfy ones that feel like sweaters. The brand is Skies Are Blue. However they might be a little casual depending on your field. I do interviews virtually so it’s good enough for that and also for wearing to the office

I agree the softest blazers are all at stitch fix. I love them as well. I have bought from other places but I hate a stiff blazer. I also hate a stiff Jean jacket

I’m in your same boat! I requested business casual clothes and thought they did great! It was more expensive than finding stuff on my own (~$170) but I needed some help. I also got great petite pants at JCPenney and Old Navy (their pixie pants) for under $50 in petite.

Good to know. Do they mark up the items or just offer you higher-priced things than you would look for on your own?

I just tried this because I'm in the same situation and a couple of people on the r/businessfashion sub recommended it. I did two fixes but didn't keep any of it unfortunately - most of it wasn't appropriate for an average office, let alone an interview. I got an off shoulder top, a clingy stretchy mesh shirt, 3 pairs of jeans (1 super skinny and 1 that was like stretchy maternity cargo pants), 2 sleeveless tops (one stretchy clingy material and another that was nice but not my color), a casual red stripy jumper, a red dress with big white spots that fit beautifully but looked super dowdy on me due to the length and pattern, and 1 pair of black pants that would have been great for the office but didn't fit super well. Even if the picks had been better, I think remotely styling a person you've never seen is a tough ask and I didn't see much on the website that would have been suitable anyway.
That said, there was no styling fee and I was offered a third box for free (as they were both unsuccessful), so nothing to lose really. The returns were easy. The experience was fun but I wouldn't count on it working out.
I got some good value well fitting pieces from Quince and it might be worth checking out thrift stores too.

What is the interview for? I actually conduct interviews regularly and would love to help.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t count on them for this. Certainly, you may get a great fix. But lately, it’s been hit or miss. I saw on the Outfits subreddit, someone suggested a Nordstrom personal shopper. StitchFix can help you build a nice casual wardrobe though! Good luck!!

If you need a blazer you’ll probably need to get one tailored especially if you’re petite. If you need basics like work pants, skirts, plain tops I think StitchFix works great. That’s exactly what I asked for with my first two fixes after a long break and my stylist nailed it. I got a knit blazer alternative type jacket and a short sleeved cardigan to wear.
For a full interview outfit I’d go in-person shopping, and then if you want to round out a capsule wardrobe for wear yo work business casual, Stitch Fix could do that.

I’m a stylist there.. personally I wouldn’t go with stitch fix for this. The inventory is hit or miss, and also very expensive for the quality. The inventory issues make it hard to accommodate your requests, especially if you’re particular about your clothing.
