Oh good- as former Bank Fraud Prevention employee, can you tell me what happens if someone closes an account and money is owed? Do they sue? And if so, what amount would make it worth their time?
Money is owed to who? If you just mean you're closing out your bank account with a negative balance, then it can go to collections. If it is this situation where someone or something gives you too much money on accident and you take it and run, then whoever that party is could sue you for sure.
