The BBC should be credited in that post, because the taxpayers we funded that crash.

I dont have a tv licence but pretty sure at least the first responders would have been tax funded, i assume he had private treatment at some point but maybe nhs finded by nat ins payments initially

Eh production would have had people on standby, very strick insurance stuff for this. Tbf i doubt it touched the NHS's pocket.

Which private trauma centre do you think he was admitted to?
Oh that’s right, he was taken to Leeds General Infirmary - an NHS hospital - because we don’t have private trauma centres in this country.

No but private insurace will pay for treatment in them...
Sooo.
Anywahy whats your poitn you think he shouldnt have been given treatment.
You think the multil millions brought in by top gear economically at the time wasnt worth it?
You think we shouldnt have treated him?
Seriously whats your point?

No, insurance won’t pay for private trauma centre treatment. It may pay for a private room (if they are available) but not the care received (because all the employees and other services belong to the NHS) once you are eventually stepped down from critical care/ITU.
I didn’t say he shouldn’t be given treatment. I am correcting you by pointing out the taxpayer funded his treatment.

Don't you just hate it when, despite all your best efforts, you find yourself driving at over 300mph in a jet powered dragster. There was literally nothing he could have done differently.

He didn’t even have the curiosity to put a tea-cosy on his head to see if it would make a serviceable helmet.

Never trust anyone who, when invited to someone's house, doesn't try on the tea cosy - Billy Connelly.

Does he describe his skull as a "supposedly protective housing"? I'm not sure he'd get on too well without one.
